Working Managers Programme

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM L) is inviting application for its 13th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives.

Also called Working Managers Programme, the 21 month course is all set to begin from June 2017.

Admissions are based on marks scored in GMAT/CAT/XAT or GATE. Those who haven’t appeared for any of these exams, will have to take the WMP Entrance Exam to be conducted on April 16, 2017 at IIML’s Noida Campus.

The weekend-classes programme is exclusively designed for working executive to enhance their management skills and build their career further. Besides training the candidates in the latest management skills the course also provides international exposure, through a Mandatory International Module.

Here’s what WMP offers:

  • Stay at the Executive Centre, IIM Lucknow Campus at Noida for class/study networking.
  • Intensive 840 hour coursework with IIM Lucknow.
  • Mandatory International Module – likely at a top B-School in Europe

  • Networking with business leaders, peers and alumni

The programme has been structured keeping in mind working executives and their professional commitments. It includes, 7 terms over 21 months and 28 course credits with classed conducted on alternate weekends (Friday afternoon/evenings to Sunday). Boarding and lodging will be provided within the campus from Friday morning to Sunday evening.

Interested candidates can apply by April 3, 2017. The forms are available online on IIML website and can be submitted online as well as offline.

Eligibility:

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university
  • Must have appeared in any one of the following tests:
  1. GMAT (taken between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2017)
  2. CAT/XAT/GATE scores for the test taken in years 2015 onwards
  3. WMP Entrance Exam (to be held on April 16, 2017)
  • The candidate must also possess a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience as on April 30, 2017

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview. Final selection will be based on previous academic qualification, performance in PI and work experience.

Those opting to take the WMP Entrance Exam must prepare the following subjects thoroughly- verbal ability, quantitative ability and logical reasoning. The question paper will carry 100 MCQ from these three subjects to be solved in 2 hours.

Total fee of the programme is Rs 12, 65,000 to be paid in seven instalments. Amount to be paid at the time of admission is Rs 1,50,000, which includes Rs 50,000 as acceptance fee to be paid in on receiving letter of offer and Rs 1,00,000 to be paid at the time of admission.

Yes, IIM Lucknow does consider Class 12 marks while making the merit list for MBA programmes. But, Class 12 marks are only one of the selection parameters. Others include CAT score, UG marks, GDPI performance, extra curricular activities, and more.
