National Institute of Technology Meghalaya accepts the JEE Main entrance exam for BTech admission. Eligible candidates with a valid rank are only eligible to appear in the counselling rounds. For the General AI category students, the NIT Meghalaya cutoff 2025 ranged between 19623 and 81562 for BTech admission. The cutoff was released up to 9 rounds, JoSAA conducted the seat allocation up to round six, and further 3 rounds were conducted by CSAB. NIT Meghalaya Cutoff 2025 for General Al Category

NIT Meghalaya BTech cutoff 2025 is tabulated below for the students belonging to the General AI category. The cutoff was released in ranks across different categories under the AI and HS quotas. In the General category, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive branch with the lowest JEE Main cutoff ranks of 19623 and 35937 in Round 1 and the last round, respectively.  

On the other hand, B.Tech. in Civil Engineering had the maximum rank of 44560 in the first round and 81562 in the last round, making it the least competitive for admission. Further details are given below:

NIT Meghalaya Cutoff 2025 for OBC Al Category

For the OBC category students under the AI quota, the NIT Meghalaya CSE cutoff 2025 was 6270 in the first round. In the last round, the cutoff rank was concluded at 38843. Comparing it with the General AI quota, the JEE Main rank in the first round was more competitive for CSE admission among the OBC AI category students. However, in the last round, the cutoff was more stringent for General category students under the AI quota. 

For other BTech specialisations, such as  Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the maximum cutoff ranks required for admission were 50475 and 58751, respectively.

NIT Meghalaya Cutoff 2025 for SC Al Category

NIT Meghalaya JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for B.Tech. admission across multiple specialisations, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Of all these BTech branches, CSE had the lowest cutoff of 2870, making it the most competitive for admission. On the contrary, with a highest cutoff rank of 222496 in the last round, Civil Engineering was the least competitive for securing a seat at the National Institute of Technology Meghalaya. In the EWS category, the top three most competitive B.Tech. branches for admission were Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with JEE Main last-round closing ranks of 41675, 48659, and 71779, respectively. For CSE, the first round closing rank stood at 41675. Likewise, for ECE and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, the closing ranks were 4041 and 5315, respectively, in the first round of admission. Compared with the General AI category, the JEE Main cutoff ranks were comparatively relaxed for CSE admission among the students under the Home State quota. In the General HS quota, the JEE Main cutoff rank closed at 59949 for CSE admission. Under the AI quota, the JEE Main rank for CSE admission was 19623 in the first round. In the last round, the cutoff rank closed at 35937.

OF all these specialisations, the most competitive for admission was CSE, with JEE Main first and last round closing ranks of 40375 and 351091, respectively. 

NIT Meghalaya Electrical and Electronics Engineering admission required a maximum cutoff rank of 53040. Similarly, for Mechanical Engineering, the highest cutoff rank was 594286.

Under the Home State quota, the maximum JEE Main rank needed for admission was 93208. For the EWS category students, the cutoff was released for Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. For CSE admission, the JEE Main first and last round closing ranks were 16829 and 61100, respectively. Similarly, for ECE, the admission was closed at a rank of 93208

You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
