For the OBC candidates belonging to the AI quota, Mechanical Engineering had a leniency in its cutoff trends for 2024. The first-round cutoff was 15250, and 91158 was the final round cutoff, as per the NIT Meghalaya cutoff 2024. Thus, Mechanical Engineering became an attractive option for candidates with mid-range ranks. Comparatively, CSE remained highly competitive with a last-round cutoff of 33209, underlining its sustained demand.

The NIT Meghalaya JEE Mains Cutoff 2024 was released for Round 1. The Cutoff ranks were released for different categories for various BTech specialisations. For the SC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for various courses ranged between 3059 and 7043, among which Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive course. BTech in Civil Engineering was the least competitive course, for the SC AI category candidates.

MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN R1 (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 1746, in Mathematics it was 1475, and finally in Chemistry it was 1539 for 2023. You can get CSE in GFTI as per the JoSSA counselling cutoff last year. You cannot get any branch, like CSE, ECE in NIT at this rank.
