Amazing college. Bengal College of Engineering and Technology
Placements: About 75% of students get placed every year. But the 2022 pass-out batch got a record placement of almost 92%. The highest package is 12LPA in 2021 and the average package is 3LPA. Top recruiting companies vary from time to time every year such as DXC TECHNOLOGY, WIPRO, TCS, NINJA, and many more. Many companies hire students from internships like Amazon, Flipkart.
Infrastructure: I, Desh Deepak Kumar from EE 3RD YEAR. The infrastructure of our department is very good. 24x7 Wi-Fi facility is available in classrooms and labs. Faculty members are exceptional and well-qualified. There are two libraries and a central library. The library has a large selection of books. I'm a resident of the college hostel. The hostel facilities are fantastic. The infrastructure is fine, but the hostel food is not that good; there is just vegetarian food offered, which is why I gave it three stars.
Faculty: Faculty members are Good. They frequently attempt to contact students to learn about their concerns. Our HOD mam is good.   There are teachers with a lot of experience. Because the institution is affiliated with MAKAUT UNIVERSITY, the university prepares the course content. In a semester, they take four internal exams conducted by the university. Semester examinations are not difficult, but those who read frequently can easily pass them. Nearly 95% of the students pass the exam.
Other: I want to be an engineer that is why I chose B.Tech. I think the college requires a lab assistant. The college organizes many fests, events. But due to the lockdown, the events are closed. College provides many scholarships like SVMCM, OBC, JINDAL.

It is a moderate college, but the facilities are good enough.
Placements: Placements in our college are good, but they are not enough for students. Almost 60-70% of the students got placed. Many MNCs visit our college every year like Wipro, TCS, IBM, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. The average salary package offered is 3-4 LPA, the highest salary package offered by Byju's is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2-2.5 LPA. Our college offers various types of internships for 2nd, 3rd and final year students in our Durgapur town like Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur Power Project and Damodar Valley Corporation. Our core electrical engineering branch is based on internships, so our mentors especially take care of it.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. For theory classes, there are separate classrooms with Wi-Fi and projector facilities, but they are non-air-conditioned. For practical classes, there is a separate building block in every department and not only in our department. Library facilities are available 24x7 with various types of books and almost 7,000-10,000 books. Our college also has a hostel facility for boys and girls separately. There are 3 boy's hostels outside the college campus, and there are 2 girls' hostels inside the college campus. There are 2 seater and single seater rooms with attached bathroom facilities. I am highly disappointed with the food quality of our hostel. Only vegetarian food is available, and the quality is not that good. Apart from this, there is a canteen with good food quality, which is amazing. Our college has its own medical team and ambulance. Apart from this, Vivekananda Hospital, which is a private hospital and ESI Hospital, which is a government hospital, are available 24x7 for treatment facilities. In the afternoon, many of us play football and cricket. Girls play basketball and cricket in the afternoon. Our college also organised annual sports. There are many types of games to participate in, like a shot put, racing, long jump, high jump, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, and most of them are highly educated as they have completed M.Sc, M.Tech and PhD. The course curriculum is very good, and it makes students ready for the industry. Our college is under MAKAUT University, so the university conducts semester exams. Our college conducts internal and practical examinations. Semester exams are not that tough. Almost 80-90% of the students appeared in semester exams every year.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my interest and job. Nowadays, electricity is everywhere, so the demand for electrical engineers is high. I suggest our college to improve their regularity. I heard from our seniors in 2016 that last time a fest was conducted. Tree plantation and blood donation camps are organised by our college. Scholarships like OBC, SVMCM and TFW are also provided by our college.

The faculty of the college is the best.
Placements: About 85% of students were placed in my course. And the highest package is 22.4 LPA, and the average package is 8-10 LPA. And about 60% of students got internships from the companies. The top roles offered from the companies are web developer and graduate engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: All the facilities of the college are very good, and the infrastructure available for the course/department, like Wi-Fi, class, sports, medical facilities, and library, are very good. Also, the hostel facilities are the best, and food quality is too good.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality of the teachers is too good. College semester exams are tougher than others, but due to the teaching quality of the teachers, the pass percentage of the students is approximately 74%.
Other: I choose this course because it was my dream. From this course I can learn many things. Events and fests are the most enjoyable time on the college campus. The campus crowd is good, and the campus surroundings are the best.

It is really an excellent college. I want to give 4.5 stars out of 5 stars to it.
Placements: I joined this college in 2019, and now I am in my 3rd year. I thought this is a good college, but it is moderate. Faculty members here are very good and helpful, but the placement rate is nearly 40% in the COVID-19 situation. Otherwise, it would be around 60%-70%. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA in 2019, and it was offered by Byju's. The average salary package offered was also good, which was nearly 2.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was around 1.2 LPA-2 LPA. This year, i.e., in the 2021 pass out batch, a lot of jobs are offered by many MNCs like DXC Technology (which is a mass recruiter and recruited 164 students), Byju's, Cognizant, Industry ARC, etc. They offered a salary package of nearly 7 LPA. From B.Tech, many of the students got placed through internships, and nearly 178 students got placed in DXC Technology (39% of students). Overall, this is a good college academically.
Infrastructure: I am from electrical engineering, and the lab facilities are good but are not like you expected. Labs have good infrastructure and teaching staff members. Classrooms are medium in size with a 24x7 high-speed Wi-Fi facility. There is also a projector in the hall room. Hostel facilities are also available for boys' and girls' on this campus. Around 2,000 seats are available in the boys' hostel and 700 seats in the girls' hostel. Hostels are also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi routers. Single sharing rooms with a single bathroom and double sharing rooms with a common bathroom are available here. But the food served in the hostel is not much good, and only vegetarian food is available. Non-vegetarian food is not allowed. The food is served four times by the hostel, and there are also 3 canteens. 24x7 medical facilities are available. Vivekananda hospital (private) and government hospital are around our BCET college. Annual sports are organised by our college like cricket tournament, football tournament and volleyball also. Boys and girls who stay in the hostel practice various types of games daily after the college timings. One thing is that the hostel is not mandatory for all students. A multi-gym is available for both boys and girls separately.
Faculty: There are good teachers in our college. They help students not only in academics but also in personal issues. Most of the teachers are highly educated like M.Tech, M.Sc, PhD, etc. There are many other contractual teachers. The curriculum structure is surely very good, and it makes students ready for the industry. This college is affiliated with Moulana Abul Kalam Azad University (WBUT), so question papers are designed by the university for semester exams. But our college strictly follows the university guidelines for examination purposes, and it strictly observes students during semester exams. The pass percentage is extremely good, and it is above 85-90% in every semester. Our college also conducts four internal exams before every semester exam.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in it. I observed this college many times, so I have taken admission to it through WBJEE exam. I suggest to our college that if it improves its placement record, then it will be an excellent college in West Bengal. Our college organises a fest every year, and this year also it organised fest through virtual mode. Our college surroundings are natural and pollution-free. Our college is situated in the main town in Durgapur, so all things which students need are available in the market in front of the college. Our college also offers various types of scholarships like SVMCM, TFW etc. Every year students who get the top position in university exams will get a lot of financial support from the college. Our college also conducts an NSS event, Diya decoration, clothes and food distribution, medical champ and many more. Our NSS event helps many financially poor people by distributing clothes and food to them.

Our college provides good environment and it is a great place to grow.
Placements: Almost all the students were offered a decent placement from our college. The salary packages offered ranges from 4 LPA - 9 LPA. Top companies of our college are Byju's, Mahindra, Infosys, and Cognizant. Roles offered were mainly of software engineers, BDA, and assistant engineer.
Infrastructure: We have facilities like Wi-Fi and well-equipped labs. The library has more than 500 publications and journals. Next to it we have a very good canteen and mess where hygienic food is served. Along with it, we have good transportation facilities and a greener environment.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and have very good knowledge in their specific domain. Teaching quality is very good and they provide a better learning environment. The course curriculum was very well structured and we get a deep understanding related to the industry field.
Other: I opted for this course because in the industrialization world this course will provide me ample opportunities. The curriculum of the course and the diversity which I got from here is good. More industry-related projects were provided and we have associated with various inter and intra-extra curricular activities. There are various clubs and committees involved in the college.
