Overall review for my college.

Placements: Recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro, and PWC. Specialized courses are also there to support a student with industrial standards. The highest package was around 6 LPA and the average package was around 2.5 LPA. Internships will begin in July 2024, so I do not have much information about it.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms with smart boards for better and more conceptual gain. The library is huge, with 5000 sq ft and 2 lac books and newspapers in every language. The canteen's food quality is above average; it's purely vegetarian and partnered with Saatvik Caterers.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified in the Science section of our college with M.Sc. and PhDs, along with 15+ years of teaching students with appropriate methods, including smart boards and simulations. For physics and computer science, we have well-equipped and state-of-the-art laboratories for practical classes and practical teachers are also well qualified. Semester exams are moderate to difficult, but our teachers will train from beginner to expert level. So if you do their classes and follow their suggestions and notes, surely it will help you.

I am satisfied with our college but not with the university.

Placements: Our course, B.Sc. Physics, is a general degree course, and most people don't even opt for jobs immediately after graduation. They generally go for postgraduate studies. Hence, there is no question of job placements. A few people go for educational internships.

Infrastructure: The facilities available at our college are excellent. We have a brand new physics lab with well-maintained equipment. All the classrooms have multiple air conditioners and a projector. Halls and auditoriums are also huge and well maintained for all sorts of programs, seminars, and lectures.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are excellent and experienced. They teach with the most care. The course itself is definitely not enough to directly enter the industry. A postgraduate degree is definitely recommended after the completion of this course. This college is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, which is well known for its really difficult and huge syllabus, as well as very intensive checking. Even though the college is great and takes the most care of its students, the university is not recommended at all. This university always mentally harasses students in every possible way, is very irresponsible, never cooperates with the students, and doesn't even follow the basic UGC guidelines. It just goes on with its own made-up policies, and hence the college is bound to follow them.
