BITS Hyderabad: A campus with good campus life and flexibilities.

Placements: I am from chemical branch according to the information that I have, around 80 percent of students are placed and the average package offered was around 10 Lacs per annum. When it comes to recruiting companies, there are many like Divi Laboratory, Dr Reddy laboratory, Cipla, etc. Coming to the internships, not only our branch but every branch students gets good internships; almost everyone gets internship and the highest role offered is manager of production department in Cipla.

Infrastructure: The complete infrastructure of the college is simply awesome: classrooms, library and auditoriums. Everything is well designed and maintained by the college management, and coming to the hostels, they will be inside the campus itself which is also well maintained by the college management itself and they have all the facilities that a student needs to live.

Faculty: The lecturers here are very friendly and highly educated; they often interact with the students and help them in their studies. The quality of education taught by them is good and the course curriculum is well designed and makes students comfortable to study without any trouble and they can almost become industry-ready. Coming to the semester exams, they are not that difficult and a student can comfortably score a minimum of 6 CGPA without any preparation and the pass percentage is 4.5 CGPA.

Other: The course I chose was easier. The best part is that there is no need to work hard compared to other courses and the reason why I chose this was that this is the best college I got compared to other options I had after completing my 12th class, attending events and participating in extracurricular activities. Hyderabad would be top among any other colleges in Hyderabad because it has many fests around 2-3 every semester and students are left free to do any extracurricular activities that they want to do or play anytime .

About BITS Pilani, in short..

Placements: The last passing batch in our college is 2019–2023. In this batch, almost 90 percent of total students and 96 percent of eligible students have been placed in various MNC's and startups. The highest package offered is around 72 LPA, and the least package offered is around 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are JPMC, Deloitte, Amazon, and Uber. The top roles offered are SDE and data analyst. Around 90 percent of the students are placed in internships with stipends.

Infrastructure: Firstly, the infrastructure in our college is very good. We have vast classrooms and a library. Our campus provides wi-fi and broadband connections throughout the campus. Our library is very vast and we have a digital library as well. Our hostel is non AC and we have common washrooms. The food was not so good and not so bad either. We have a lot of games and sports, indoors and outdoors. We have a vast ground.

Faculty: Firstly, the faculty at BITS are highly qualified. Almost 95 percent of the faculty members have done their PhD's. It all depends on the student whether he is utilizing the faculty properly or not but the faculty are very supportive. The syllabus for the course is updated every year based on industry requirements. The semester-end exams in our college are not so easy to pass. We have relatively good grading as well.

Other: My course is chemical engineering. I have given preference to college rather than branch. But I do not have any regrets after knowing fully about my branch. I think my college fee was a little bit high, but we have many scholarships available. We have internet connections throughout the campus. We have a lot of festivals. Some of them are ATMOS, PEARL, and FERVOUR. ATMOS is a 3-day fest that consists of many events and workshops and many celebrities come to our campus at the time of the fest.

Great placements but unhappy with the faculty.

Placements: Top recruiters like JP Morgan & Case, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Head Digital works, etc. hire from our branch, with the highest package of 28.6 LPA being offered by Amazon-Operations. The median package for our branch was 12 LPA and the lowest was 6 LPA for the placement season in 2022.

Infrastructure: Some of the hostels are newly built, and have a lot of facilities like vendors machines, common area with newspapers, magazines, play area and common room with a television. There are 2 mess available which the students can choose by themselves. Along with that, many small shops are also present which have different varieties of fast food available.

Faculty: Most of the teachers only focus on the curriculum and textbook based learning. Students are not encouraged enough to do research on their own and to learn above the syllabus. Due to the Practice School system of providing industrial experience to the students, however, students can bag pre placement offers quite easily.

Other: There are sports fests, cultural fests and technical fests organized every year, with many of the other college as participants which provide a lot of exposure to the students in the field of management and extra curricular activities.

The infrastructure, campus life, academic culture and fests are the most amazing aspects here.

Placements: The placement season starts next year for my batch. Till now, the highest package offered is 13-14 LPA for my course, and the lowest package is 8-9 LPA, but you have options of going to different fields such as IT, non-tech, finance, consulting etc. ExxonMobile is the top recruiting company for chemical engineering students. Recruitment for internships is still going on, and 6 out of 40 students are sent to the next round for Exxon Mobile.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, with well-maintained hostels and academic blocks and proper cleanliness and other facilities. Wi-Fi is also available, but it works properly only in some areas, not everywhere. The library is well maintained with ACs and proper seating and digital facilities. Labs are very well maintained with proper learning equipment. Mess food is good except for a few times a week. The canteen also supplies great food. There is a medical center inside the campus, which has basic medical facilities. Sports and games are very great, with fields well maintained and activities happening daily.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for the industry. Exams are not so tough. If you have studied well before exams, you can easily get above 90-95%. There is relative grading, so the pass percentage is a bare minimum, almost 10-15%, but you can repeat a course next or latter semester.

Other: In chemical engineering, the number of companies coming for placements must increase compared to IIT Delhi, and the rest of the things like events, fest, crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, and other activities are great, which makes the college an excellent college.

The college provides great opportunities for freshers.

Placements: Everyone who sits for campus placements gets placed in their field of interest. The package is not a criterion to choose. The college offers a variety of courses in the field you want to learn. Major roles are offered in the IT and finance sectors, followed by the core sector.

Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped. You will get whatever you want for your research in labs. The classrooms are huge and can accommodate 700-800 students at a time. The hostel is well maintained. Mess food is way better than many of the institutions as it is students governed.

Faculty: As it is the best private institution in India, it has the best faculty members. The curriculum is updated as and when required. Exams are conducted in such a way that students are not stressed much and have their own time. The college also provides industry exposure.

Other: The campus crowd is good and helpful. Even the alumni network is very strong. The college provides overall personal development to students.

It is absolutely adorable, with a plethora of opportunities and great student-faculty interaction.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students get placed either through summer internship programme (SI), or PS, i.e., practice school in the final year and also through on-campus placements. The on-campus placement season is conducted throughout the year or throughout 12 months, which is not found in most colleges.

Infrastructure: All the sports courts, be it basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc., are well maintained and periodically undergo a high versed cleaning process. There is a specific area on the campus for the student activity centre (SAC), which is centre for all sports and refreshing activities, which also includes a gym. There are many clubs which deal with the better interaction of students and provide them with a platform to show their unique talents.

Faculty: Faculty members of this college are highly qualified, good scholars and well known for their research in their respective fields. They provide a secure platform for students to interact to get mentally comforted and express their views on the subject.

A Campus which will make your best phase of life better.

Placements: Since our college is relatively younger, so the placements are not par with Pilani campus. But still we are showing great improvement in them. Our last year stats have been great and this year too almost 95% of applied students got placed. I am not mentioning placement percentage anywhere because they are not the right way to judge any college. If you reach a college like this, surely you would want to pursue higher studies. And let me tell when it comes to higher studies we have a great record. Any many companies like Flipkart, Amazon, etc. come to our placements and offers IT, Analytics and financial roles. We have got a placement cell called PD. I would have to use a lot of good words to describe it. And lastly, about internships, Microsoft is an example almost all the students who apply for internship get it.

Infrastructure: One thing our campus students are really proud of is it's infrastructure. We got one of the biggest auditoriums of any college in India. We have got a state of art library, labs and classrooms are excellent. Medical facilities are really up to the mark with a medical centre and doctors residing on campus for small emergencies. When it comes to sports, let me tell you, we have great facilities. You won't find a Cricket field (turf Wicket), Football field, Hockey Field, Volleyball Courts with artificial grass, Kabaddi Court, wooden Badminton courts, Basketball and Tennis courts, A fantastic Gym and an instructor, and separate carrom, TT and Chess rooms- All of these in a college together. Yes, some of us have some problems with the mess food, but with some experience of different colleges mess foods, I can say that our food is okayish, if not good. And finally hostel rooms- They are good. Some of us have a single room occupancy and some (First yearites) have double, with one common room every floor having a TV and Tata Sky connection which makes our matches' experience lively.

Faculty: Teachers here are an example of BITS brand. They are excellent. Their knowledge, qualification, way of teaching and also the project they offer with the funding they get. They are just awesome. The teaching methods used here are interactive. The ration is around 1 teacher for every 50 students. About the industry exposure, BITS is famous for its practice school division where every student is sent twice to industries, first for about two months and second for a semester to provide them with practical industrial knowledge.

Other: As a part of the Student's Union Council, I can ensure that no one can be dissatisfied with the quality and quantity of events which take place in BPHC. Be it Intra Campus or Inter Campus, we have a lot of events planned throughout the year keeping in mind the technical, cultural and sports minds of the campus. We have got three fests too- ATMOS (The Technical Fest), ARENA (The Sports Fest) and PEARL (The Cultural Fest). All in all the extra curricular life in BPHC is fun, a real fun.

One of the best universities in India that provide all-round development.

Placements: Most students of the batch were placed. A few opted out for higher studies. The highest package offered was around 65 LPA by Epic systems, US. The average salary was around 7 LPA. The lowest salary offered was 3.5 LPA. Top companies visiting the campus were eBay, Amazon, Shell etc. Roles ranging from software developer to financial analyst were offered. There is a placement cell working 24x7 to place students.

Infrastructure: Being a relatively new campus, it's endowed with facilities like Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, classrooms, a state of art library, basketball court, tennis courts, a cricket ground as well as a football ground. Food is available at a reasonable price and is quite edible. Hostel rooms are single accommodation type. There was no infrastructure-related problem as such during my stay.

Faculty: All the faculty members are PhDs. They are very knowledgeable and open to discussion. Apart from classroom interaction, there was also laboratory hours to gain hands-on experience. The student to faculty ratio was 6:1. Industry exposure was provided in the form of practice school twice during a degree. The course curriculum was flexible, and you could choose your own electives.

Other: The technical festival, Atmos, Cultural festival, Pearl, Sports festival, Arena are conducted throughout the year. The campus is 20 km from the main city and well connected. A plethora of committees exist pertaining to different interests.
