Review of COEP - College of Engineering, Pune.
Placements: About 40-45% of the students form our course got placed due to COVID-19 situation, but it could have been more. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA ranging from 3.75 to 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Tata Motors, Philips, Fiat, Cognizant and Capgemini visit our college for placements. About 2 students out of 18 got an internship in companies like Philips and KPIT.
Infrastructure: Our college provides fast Wi-Fi facility for students. Labs are well-equipped with required instruments. Classrooms are average, but there is no common room. The library has good books but in limited quantity. The hostel is average as each room had 4 students, so there is less space to spread. Quality of food served at hostel mess was best when compared to other mess in Pune. The canteen facility should be improved.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-qualified, and some teachers have industrial experience. The course curriculum should be updated at regular time as industries are updating. The books have only basics were as updated courses should have the latest requirement. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready as the projects are of good potential.
Other: The campus crowd is the best, and at the time of events and fests, the real passion comes out. It is a good place to nurture talent.

It is a great college with a legacy of above 150 years. You won't regret it if you opt for it.
Placements: The placements in our college are the best, and students who tried to get it got placed. The average salary package offered was 5-7 LPA for core branches like electrical, mechanical and civil. For computer science and information technology students, a company visited in a day. Only a few students didn't get placements from the M.Tech computer branch. From our M.Tech power electronics and machine, 14 students out of 20 got placed who were eligible for placements.
Infrastructure: The laboratories and classrooms are quite good. The canteen is available on the campus on both sides of the college. Some departments like the electrical department also maintain the departmental library. The electrical department also had a department garden. There are separate M.Tech labs for PG students to do their dissertation work.
Faculty: The faculty members are PhD holders, but very few can guide students on what they have to do. They are inactive, and some of them won't even talk to students. Our course curriculum was very inclusive, and many of us got jobs. The advancement has to be done as new motor control technologies are introducing and ways to implement them.
Other: Our college doesn't focus on research in the department. TEQIP funds are not easily available for PG students.

COEP - The best college in Maharashtra.
Placements: The placements for M.Tech is not as good as for B.tech students. The number of companies that come for the campus placements is not that good. Around, 60-70% of the students got placed. The average package for M.Tech is around 5 to 6 LPA. The students get the opportunities for the summer internships, out of which some companies even offer a good stipend.
Infrastructure: COEP is one of the oldest colleges in India, so there are many old and heritage buildings in this college. Many new buildings are constructed as many new courses have been started. The architecture is decent. The gymkhana facility, sports ground for the outdoor games, and sports room for the indoor games are provided. The college has one centralised library, where the wide range of books is available. There is a free Wi-Fi for the students in the college campus and hostels. The mess food is delicious, especially on the Sundays. The canteen food is average.
Faculty: COEP has the highly experienced faculty members. Most of them have PhD, and most of them have published their research work in the international journals and conferences. The course designed for the students is good. Many industrial visits and guest lectures are arranged every semester so that the students get an exposure to interact with the industry professionals.
