The Institute of Technology and Management, Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute, is a highly competitive place, course-wise and in the applicants' pool. The candidates apply for B.Tech programs need to clear entrance exams like JEE Main. Admission also takes place based on rank; cutoffs vary with specialization here. Eligibility to minimum standards and good marks in entrance exams assure admission. Though getting into a particular department may not be too much of an ask, getting into a preferred department, like computer science, may be a little difficult. The first point here would be proper preparation for entrance exams and meeting the cutoff.

Yes, it is expensive to an extent because for first year students, it'll cost around 1.5 Lacs including college fees, admission fees, miscellaneous expenses, etc. ( excluding hostel). But this price is common in most of the colleges across our country. 

The best course offered at ADGITM is the BTech course. Based on the placement statistics and reviews provided, the highest salary package offered at the college is INR 17 LPA and the average salary package offered is INR 6-7 LPA. Almost 60-70% of the students get placed every year and some of the top companies that visit the college for placement are Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, and HCL, etc
