Review of GKM College of Engineering and Technology (GKMCET).
Placements: Our college placements compared to last year are less this year. 2-3 companies conducted placement drives for the student this year. They only conducted BPO drives, not for core companies. I think only CCS Crop and Aspiring Mind conducted placement drives this year. 2 more companies visited but I forgot their names. They offered a role of system admin.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library are OK for me. I give 75 out 100 to the infrastructure. In our college campus, there are only 2 canteens with below average food quality and soft drinks. I don't know about the hostel facility because I am a day scholar. The bus fee will be high but the bus facility is poor as damaged buses are used for transportation.
Faculty: In the EEE department, well-qualified faculty members there from the last 2 years. Their teaching method is like that of a school. Only important question and repeated questions are taught. I attended 7 industry visits but they were not useful. They only arranged industry visits just for a show and they mentioned the name in the banner for publicity.

Need to improve in canteen and medical.
Placements: Over around 30 percent of students were placed through placement with 2 to 3 Lacs per annum as salary. Freshers are placed in training for a period of time. Almost all got the internship training through placement cell. BPO and call centres are hiring most of the people.
Infrastructure: Labs and department library are available in each and every department, hostel are provided with 4 and 2 per rooms along with optional AC rooms, mess is not good average food content. Canteen and Medical is poor
Sports games are performed monthly and yearly.
Faculty: Well qualified teachers with good knowledge. Teaching quality is good with respect to the subject staff
Lab and theory is combined to get more knowledge about what we are performing. Most of the students get the content easy and perfect from all faculty members.
