Value for money institute but no campus.
Placements: 70% of students were placed. The highest package last year was 1.2 crores. The average was 15 LPA for CSE and 13 LPA for ECE. IBM, Infosys, ISRO, Microsoft, and Oracle are the main companies. Nearly 90% of students got internships. It’s okay in terms of package. Mainly this year, the ECE placement is less.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Air conditioning is available. There is a ground with football nets. The library is available, and there are many classrooms. Mainly, the new campus is in the building phase. After that, in nearly 2 years, we will shift to the new campus. The food in the mess is okay: thali, dosa, snacks, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified; they are mainly from the top institutes of India. Siva sir, Sejal mam, Manish sir, Neelima mam, and also Pradeep sir from IIT Bombay. Pradeep sir and Venkata mam have also published their books. Kaustubh Dondhge, our dean, has 2 books.

Overall college is good but only as it does not have a permanent campus so college life is an issue.
Placements: This year placement of 2025 batch is decent. Around 70% of students got placed. Top recruiting company is Oracle and role offered is SDE. The highest package is 33 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. Around 60% of our seniors from my course got internships in companies like AngleOne, UKG, etc.
Infrastructure: There are 3 labs for ECE department. All 3 have devices which we need in practical examination, also all have fast Wi-Fi connections. Library is fine as it contains most of the required books we required during our course. As our college does not have a permanent campus and running on temporary campus so hostel services are provided by a third party. Hostels are too far from college, also the food quality also not good in mess.
Faculty: Our professors are too good as they are helpful and highly qualified. Our curriculum is also very nice as it recently changed according to the government guidelines. Semester exams are medium-level. Everyone can pass by a little bit of pressure. As per my batch and my course pass percentage is 100%.

Worth the fee and good placements.
Placements: Good placements, less batch size so less competition as well. The placement percentage is around 80% for the 2026 batch. The average package is around 14 LPA for combined CSE and ECE. Many companies visit the college for their placement drive.
Infrastructure: Own hostel construction is underway, and will be ready around 2026. Until then remote hostel facility is available. New director is very good and construction rate is very fast as of now. Many new things are being added to the college like sporting facilities, etc.
Faculty: ECE faculty members are very good, polite, and knowledgeable, but CSE lacks some of that. Still overall its great. Curriculum of the college is easy and on par with the current market standards and demands. Even the ECE batch of ours had almost 85-90% of the computer science subjects which made placements easier.
Other: Old director is very bad, but new director is very good. The college growth rate is very high now, at the end of 2026. All hostels will be ready, and it is a great option for upcoming students.

Supportive community here at IIIT Surat.
Placements: In the year 2025, almost 80%-90% of students achieved PPOs and placements. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Walmart, etc. The highest package is 65 LPA and the average is approximately 12 LPA. The training and placement cell of IIIT Surat works sincerely to provide placement and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is a sort of temporary type with Wi-Fi campus, labs for CSE, ECE, and physics library. Our college doesn't have it's campus so we are staying at a hostel running by private authorities and college provides shuttle service. Sports facilities available are volleyball court, kabaddi mat, carrom board, TT table, and chess.
Faculty: Teachers here at IIIT Surat are very supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable. They act as our mentors and help wherever we are stuck. Course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are conducted at a very fair level with almost 80% of students passing and 95% after supplementary.
Other: The whole community of IIIT SURAT is very supportive and our college is making improvements day by day since our new director Proof. Rajeev Shorey has took the charge. Many events and cultural fest are organized here at our college like Springs Fiesta, Prakash memorial sports tournament, Saanjh, etc.

Review of IIIT Surat - Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: The highest package this year is around 40 LPA and the lowest package ranges from 8-9 LPA by Stpl Private Limited and other companies. I think around 50-60% of students get placed till now. Placements are better than last year. A top role offered is SDE. There are some core placements as well.
Infrastructure: We do not have hostels at our college. Other things are satisfactory. Wi-Fi is satisfactory in hostels and in the college as well. Classrooms are not expected but it is functional. The canteen has been improved from the previous year. Sports and games are being encouraged now after performing so well in inter-IIIT events and successfully winning trophies.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant. One important thing that I like is that important courses like DSA and development are taught in the second semester itself. It makes students get to know and decide about the courses well very early so that they can do a masters in one of them and improve it in the next 3 years.
Other: I chose this course as I thought shifting to a city like Surat would teach more things and not just the course, though the culture in our college is in development. I feel everything depends on students, and if students have the hard determination to explore and develop they can compete with any other college.

Review of IIIT Surat by one of the students.
Placements: Around 70% of our college students get placed. The average salary package offered is approximately 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 64 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Opera, Mathworks, Infosys, Uber, etc. Now it's getting better as a new director came in 2024.
Infrastructure: The worst infrastructure any college in the world would have. We have 3 labs for computer science, 2 for electronics, and 1 for physics. Toilets are bigger than the library. The library of IIT Bombay is bigger than our college. The lowest Wi-Fi we have to use our mobile data and our college is built in the middle of the farm therefore even the mobile network is not working properly. There is no sports ground. The worst canteen food is provided. Our college does not even have a hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Some are not so good. Some teachers of computer science are not good. They do not understand what they are teaching. They are Ph.D. holders. One of our sirs is doing a Ph.D. in hydrogen energy and fuel. I don't know if the curriculum is relevant or not but our college don't do enough workshops on tech-related platforms.
Other: 1st thing would be to get a hostel and to study in a better environment. Ours is like just tin sheds, even LKG students have better schools than our college. It is the national importance of education, but look at the irony.

College with average placements.
Placements: Placements are good. Our college provides internships. Microsoft and many other big MNCs visit our college. We have an MOU with many big startups. The new director sir is supportive and is trying hard to have more MOUs. There are 2 B.Tech courses in the college currently.
Infrastructure: It is currently running on a temporary campus in Kamrej. Construction has not started. It is small but has basic facilities. It has 6 labs. They are well-equipped with smart gadgets which are new. All have good and new computers with Ryzen processors.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, supportive, and cooperative. They help in every field they know. The curriculum is according to NEP. It includes company requirements subjects so that it can have maximum placement offers. It also includes other subjects such as Indian constitution and yoga.
Other: There are many college clubs including Indominus, GDG, Ruminate, LCS and Saras. In these clubs, we can actively participate to have the overall development.

This review has major information related to IIIT Surat college.
Placements: 63 percent students of Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat have been placed this year, and the highest package is 64 LPA, and the average package is 15 LPA. Top recruiters of this college are Microsoft, Oracle, and Angel One. Generally, tech industries give placements as there are only technical branches.
Infrastructure: There is no own hostel for our college, Indian Institute of Information Technology Surat, so they provided hostels in two different schools, and one is Matrix Global Hostel, which is the worst due to lack of playgrounds and proper food in the mess. They have provided a small cupboard with only 2 racks, which can barely fit our accessories.
Faculty: The teaching is better than colleges, and some teachers are excellent. They are skilled in their subject and clarify your doubts, but some faculty members don't have basic knowledge. The college curriculum is best as it doesn't have any unwanted subjects like Chemistry, Engineering Graphic. The semester exams are moderate, not hard, and not even easy.
Other: I have interest in Electronics and Communication Engineering, so I have opted for this course rather than CSE, and it has a scope as India is investing in semiconductor manufacturing and going to start 3 manufacturing units too. The events are well celebrated like Krishnastami, Navaratri, but this college doesn't have its own hostel and is provided by a third party, and it is situated 10 km away from the college, so there will be a time waste of 1 hr 30 min in traveling.
