Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Surat provides full-time BTech and PhD programmes. Admission to these courses is primarily competitive. The selection of candidates to IIIT Surat’s BTech programme is based on their JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling. Check below steps for IIIT Surat BTech selection process:

1: IIIT Surat admission to its flagship programme BTech is based on the candidate’s performance in the JEE Main exam. Therefore, candidates must register for JEE Main exam by visiting the exam’s official website.

2: Candidates can register themselves for CSAB counselling. Through CSAB counselling the candidates can apply for vacant seats available in UG courses offered by the participating institutes. Refer to the CSAB Shiksha page for detailed information

3: Candidates who will qualify for the JEE Main or JEE Advanced can register for JoSAA to participate in the counseling and admission process for the BTech programme in IIIT Surat.

IIIT Surat releases 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to B.Tech. The cutoffs is released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:

The JEE Main score of the candidate
The category of the candidate
The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

Aspirants must apply for JEE Main exam and appear for the same. Candidates with a valid JEE score are called for JoSAA counselling following which seat allotment is done. IIIT Surat inducts candidates for the BTech programme based on a valid rank in JEE-Main and the admission process is executed as per the guidelines established by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

During 2024 placements, 50 out of 76 registered students were placed. This makes the placement rate nearly 66%. Earlier, 72 out of 103 registered students were placed during the 2023 drive.
