Helpful faculty members with average placement records.
Placements: In Civil Engineering, the placement record for this year is around 52%, with the highest package being 18 LPA, the average package being 8 LPA, and the lowest package being 3 LPA. The internship records are much less compared to other courses, standing at around 40%, with companies like Reliance, Technip, HPCL, Jacobs, and others offering roles in management. Graduate Engineering Trainee is one of the top roles offered in Civil Engineering, followed by Supply Chain Executive and other management roles.
Infrastructure: The library has almost 2.5 lakh books in total, with a high-speed Wi-Fi facility, air conditioning, and good chairs with ample space. The college has 18 hostels, out of which one is for girls, one is for Ph.D. students, and the rest are for boys. The mess food in the girls' hostel is above average. The college has one dispensary, which is open from 9 AM to 9 PM, and for night medical emergencies, two nurses are available in the hostel. One ambulance is always ready for any kind of emergency. Sports facilities in the college are not that good, and the infrastructure for sports is not good.
Faculty: All professors are highly qualified, they have done their Ph.D. in their domains and have ongoing research projects. They are very helpful towards students, and the teaching quality depends on professor to professor. Some teach very good, while others teach very bad.
Other: Surat is a great place for business and learning entrepreneurship, so I chose to study at a college in Surat. Based on my rank, I get Civil Engineering. Placements in my course can be better if students pay more attention to their course. The college has many clubs, including drama, film, photography, filmmaking, dance, singing, painting, literature, history, physics, maths, and science. Each department also has its own clubs too. There are two technical clubs, Drishti and Phoenix Racing, which are performing good at the international level.

Really good campus and a decent college life.
Placements: More than 50% of students are placed. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Non-core companies include Pharma AI, Amazon, Quanti Phi, and Oracle. Core companies include Reliance, Hinduja, L&T, and JK Lakshmi. Almost every student gets internship opportunities here.
Infrastructure: Everything is available on campus including the library, canteen, Wi-Fi, LAN, bus facility, and labs. There is even a general store on campus, and a dispensary is also available. Sports facilities and a gymnasium are also there. Food and hostels are decent enough.
Faculty: Every teacher here is experienced, and they solve all your doubts. They are always updated and ready to provide the latest technology. Civil engineering is taught well. Students can easily understand the basic concepts and practical experience. They are ready for the industry.
Other: College fests and cultural events are conducted regularly. Campus life is good here, and it is located in the center of the city. So everything is easily accessible.

SVNIT Diaries 2025 is satisfaction with some dissatisfaction.
Placements: Generally, a very small percentage of people are placed in college placements, around 50-60%. The average package offered is 6 LPA. However, many students who are doing internships get stipends. Many students may get placed on the software side.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of both the college and hostel is quite good. The hostel rooms are impressive, with two students per room. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, including the library, hostel, and departments. There are many additional buildings, including the library, gym, canteen, sports room in each hostel, and a dispensary.
Faculty: The course is designed so that students can learn in a step-by-step manner. Teachers are helpful with minor projects and other technical work, not just the subject. Semester exams are quite tough, but it is okay to score a minimum CGPA. They suggest good books to read in the library. Also, tutorials happen every week, which makes it easier to score in exams.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in design. Many fests and events happen at the end of every year and even in the middle of the semester when festivals arrive. The campus surroundings are good, providing enough enjoyment in campus life.

Placements condition is improving.
Placements: 73 percent of students from the 2024 batch got placed this year. Companies are Reliance, L&T, Hinduja, JSW, ACC, Amazon, and many more. 47 percent till now got internships from companies like Amazon, Tata, Reliance, and L&T. Management, field engineering, structural engineers, etc.
Infrastructure: Each and every year of college, students have a new hostel as per their year, like in the 1st year some other hostel, in the 2nd some other, likewise. LAN and Wi-Fi facilities are everywhere on the campus with a student login ID and password. The library is very useful and very big, having almost all types or sectors of resources.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful in all circumstances; instead, they treat it as their responsibility. As of my experience, all those who teach me are very renowned personalities in Gujarat as per their professional skill of teaching. The course curriculum is no doubt relevant, but it is very hectic, with almost the whole day being busy in classes and labs with some breaks.
Other: As per my JEE rank, I got this course, and also I was planning to do a government job, so this course is more opportunity-giving for me.

The SVNIT campus is very good, large, beautiful, and clean.
Placements: The placement of SVNIT Surat is very amazing. Many students are placed from SVNIT. The highest package offered is 52 LPA, and in my branch of civil engineering, the average package is 8 LPA, and the highest package offered is 19 LPA. The overall placement percentage is 69 percent in B.Tech. and 59 percent in M.Tech.
Infrastructure: The faculty of SVNIT is very experienced and friendly. They solve the problem anytime you ask them. Classrooms are very good and large. On the SVNIT campus is a large library. There are many clubs and playgrounds. There is a large and a small canteen on campus.
Faculty: The professors are very experienced and friendly towards the students. The course curriculum is very good and makes students industry-ready because we do all experiments on the ground. This is very helpful for knowledge. There are two semester exams: one in the middle and one at the end of the semester. The difficulty level is moderate.

Review on SVNIT civil course .
Placements: The placement ratio in the civil department is generally around 60%. The remaining students often join government projects through government exams. The average package is around 7 LPA, with the highest being 12 LPA and the minimum around 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are L&T, Adani, and Reliance. The roles generally offered are site engineer, executive engineer, and junior project manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The civil department has three different buildings, and all the labs required for the course, such as the fluid dynamics lab, hydraulic lab, SOM lab, structure lab, EM lab, and transportation lab. SVNIT has phase 8 hostels, two for girls and six for boys. Sports facilities are also available in the hostels, including TT and many indoor games. Additionally, there is one TV room in each hostel. There is also a dispensary for any medical needs. The mess food is decent.
Faculty: Almost all faculty members are involved in consultancy work, so they have high-quality practical and field knowledge. Professors are helpful and also assist in providing internships. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams are not too easy. Additionally, 75% attendance is compulsory.
Other: I'm a local of Surat, and I don't have to go to any local government college and also don't want to go to a private local college. So there is only one option, and that is SVNIT.

An average college with a good campus. Placement records of the years ‘23 and ‘24 are not so good.
Placements: In civil, about 30% of the students are placed by the mid of their last semester. The highest package offered is about 13LPA and the lowest is 6LPA. Average placements package offered in this course is 8LPA. Companies recruiting include L&T and TCS. Almost 90% of the students got internships and the top roles offered include that of junior engineer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are newly designed for some of the departments. But in few classes, they still have the old designed system. Hostel facilities are very good with the mess food being average. The food is completely vegetarian. Central canteen’s food is the best and it provides many varieties as well. For games and sports, there is an availability of big grounds for cricket and football along with a badminton court, a basketball court, and a volleyball court as well. The hostel provides both LAN and Wi-Fi facilities. If we talk about the library, it the best place in the whole campus for studying and it has a very peaceful and cool environment with lots of books. The library has 3 floors.
Faculty: Teaching faculty members are very experienced and have a lot of knowledge to give. 75 percent attendance is mandatory. The civil engineering course is lengthy but not so hard. Semester exams are very easy when compared to the JEE exam, with a little bit of efforts, you can understand the subject and score good grades.
Other: The best cultural fest here is Mega sparsh which is conducted for four days including singing night, dancing night, EDM night and celebrity night. Mindbend is the techno and managerial fest which continues for 4 days. Beside these, there are many clubs for hobbies, personality development, learning, social service etc. NCC and NSS are also active in the college. The college is located at the best location.

I am not satisfied with the attendance criteria. It is very high but great experience during fests.
Placements: In our course which is civil engineering, almost 75-80% of students got their placements with decent salary packages. The highest salary package was about 13-14 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Afcons, etc. Most of the students in our course are planning to do higher studies but the percentage of the students who got placements mostly in L&T is about 75%. Top roles offered are architect, senior site engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: I am not very satisfied with the infrastructure of the campus. It is an average compared to the other NITs in India but some of this college's buildings are under construction so there are possibilities that it will become better in the future. Wi-Fi is available on campus. Library can be counted as one of the best facilities on campus. It is fully digitalized. Classrooms are quite okay.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable too. The teaching quality is also great. The course is relevant. Students are getting ready with this type of relevant course. Semester exams are quite difficult but if you study from the start and follow the professor's PPTs, it is not that hard to top the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I always wanted to become an architect. The best thing about this course is that you earn as much as you want by using your skills. According to me, if we focus on practicals more than theory classes, it would be better. Events and fests are outstanding. The campus crowd is great. You can get scholarships too according to the criteria. Extracurricular activities are entertaining. You can also join the clubs based on your interests.
