NIT Patna, this is the best college I have ever seen.
Placements: This year, only about 40% of students got placed in our branch. The highest package was around 18 LPA, the lowest was 3.6 LPA, and the average was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Infosys, TCS, and other software companies, as there are no jobs in the core field. Almost only 20% of students get internships. Top roles offered are Software Engineer, Structural Engineer, Site Engineer, and Environment Engineer.
Infrastructure: I live in the hostel named Brahmapur hostel of the National Institute of Technology, Patna. This is one of the largest hostels for boys in NIT Patna. The mess structure of NIT Patna is delicious, and yesterday it was a special dinner. There are three boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. The net capacity is around 1,400 students. Some hostels have poor basic facilities, and the Wi-Fi is very slow due to the large number of users. The library is well-equipped, but the classrooms are a bit old. Mess food is unacceptable.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and well-qualified. You will find all types of professors, including supportive, kind, and funny ones, as well as bad ones. The curriculum set is quite good. It includes electrical engineering subjects and core energy courses. Semester exams are of a moderate level, not too easy and not too difficult, unless you do not study.

Nice institute due to its extraordinarily talented students and competitive environment.
Placements: Mechanical engineering at NIT Patna used to have the highest percentage of placements almost every year. In 2024,87% of students got placed. The average package is 9 LPA. The lowest package is 5.4 LPA. The highest package is 28 LPA. Placements are offered by top companies like Tata, Hero Motors, Mahindra, and other companies. Approximately 75% of students got internships in top companies like Hero Motors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but the building is too old. In recent years, there have been very few buildings. In our department, in the classrooms, there is a smart TV and AC. The library also has a good range of books, but they are too old there should be a new development and things required. The quality of food in the mess is okay and acceptable but do not expect to get the food like home. A special building named Sac building is here where music all indoor games are available.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful in academics. Teachers are of top quality. The course curriculum is very relevant and it is updated regularly according to industry standards and company requirements. Exams level moderate to tough. There are two main examinations, mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam every semester along with a viva exam.

The best college of engineering in Bihar for mechanical engineering.
Placements: Students start preparing rigorously for placements in the 3rd year. The placement drive happens over 8-9 months in different phases. In the 2024-2025 placements, there is a decrease in the number of companies visiting and also a decrease in the median package due to the ongoing recession. However, in previous years, more than 180 companies visited the campus, and the number of students getting placed was quite good. In the Chemical Department, 108 out of 110 students get placed. Overall, the highest package is 65 LPA, and the average package is 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is outstanding. It spans 310 acres, making for a massive campus size. We have well-equipped labs and instruments. Classes are equipped with smart boards and projectors. Hostels are very good. They are double-shared, with facilities for indoor games and outdoor grounds for sports like volleyball, football, and cricket. Overall, it is one of the best and has the best infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified and have good teaching skills. There are experienced faculty members. The course curriculum is designed as per the new education policy and is very relevant to industrial requirements. The semester examinations are not very difficult. Each semester is 5 months long, which provides enough time to prepare for examinations. Faculty members here are among the best.
Other: The best thing about my course is that it is an evergreen branch. I wish the course could be improved in the first year. There are a few events and fests conducted, like Natvansh and Bollywood. Our campus is very small, covering 36 acres. Connectivity is good because the station is 4 km away, and airport is 10 km away.

NITP Review: Honest Review
Placements: I am in my second year, so I don't know about the placement, but talking about the seniors, it was 100% placement for mechanical engineers. The highest package goes up to around 12 to 14 lakhs, and the average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs, and the minimum is 6 lakhs. Top recruiting companies, I still don't know, but you can definitely refer to the website of NIT Patna for the percentage of students getting placed, which is about 50% in top roles in my course, Mechanical Engineering.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure for the classrooms are okay. In some classrooms, there are ACs available, but in some classes, it is not available; only fans are available. The library is a bit smaller, but it's fine. AC is available in the library, and you can study until 9 in the evening. The labs are also really good, and the quality of the equipment is decent.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are really helpful, and they are qualified and knowledgeable. The curriculum is really relevant; it makes the students industrially knowledgeable. You have to do self-study, but the semester exams are not at all difficult.
