Emerging Technical Institute in India with a lot of scope in professional development.
Placements: Placements in our institute are good and balanced every year. Many EE students pursue higher education like Masters and PhD in foreign universities. Some students from EE appear for placements in the software and electronics domain and successfully get good packages. The highest package for last year's placement was 42 Lakhs CTC. Companies like NVIDIA, Intel, CDAC, Paytm, and Deloitte bring regular placement and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Full campus coverage of Wi-Fi has been established with 5G services also available. Separate and systematic labs are present for all departments. We have multiple capacity classrooms with AC. The library is also available. Sports facilities are still under development. Medical facilities are good and open 24x7.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified and involved in national-level projects. Teachers provide comprehensive study material to students. New course curriculum has been implemented under NEP 2020, which makes students industry-ready. Exams are moderate to tough which judge our skills and knowledge.

Strong faculty and practical learning at IIT Bhilai with great campus life.
Placements: At IIT Bhilai, around 75% of students from my course got placed. Top recruiters included companies like Amazon, L&T, and Tata Steel. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA. The average salary package offered is 12 LPA. Common roles offered are electrical design engineer, control system engineer, and power systems analyst. Around 70% of students secured internships in companies like Bajaj Electrical and Siemens.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped and involve solving real-world problems. The infrastructure of IIT Bhilai is energetic and strong. The campus provides high-speed Wi-Fi and modern classrooms. There is also a central library in IIT Bhilai. Hostel facilities are decent with clean room quality, and the mess provides very delicious and tasty food. Medical facilities are also well-maintained and punctual for emergencies or casual conditions. A sports complex will be made in phase 2 of the construction of IIT Bhilai.
Faculty: At IIT Bhilai, the electrical engineering faculty members are highly skilled and encourage a research-based approach to teaching. The curriculum combines solid theory with hands-on experience, preparing students for the industry. While exams are tough, regular assessments help. Around 85-90% of students pass.
Other: I chose electrical engineering at IIT Bhilai because of my JEE advanced rank. One of the best things about the course is its balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application. To improve, I wish there were more industry-focused workshops and internship opportunities. Campus life is lively with events like Meraz and the cultural fest. The campus has good connectivity to Durg and is surrounded by peaceful nature. The campus is surrounded by greenery, and there is zero pollution. The college provides many scholarships for students who do not have good financial conditions.

Good placements in 2021-2022.
Placements: Around 50-60 percent of students were placed. The highest package was 20 LPA and the lowest package was around 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include HCL, Deloitte, Mahindra and Mahindra. Most of them got SDE roles. Overall, the placement was average.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus. Sufficient labs and classrooms are present. A decent library is present. The mess food is below average but cafes and canteens serve decent food. There is no proper ground for games like cricket and football, but each hostel has table tennis, badminton and volleyball courts. Campus has a health centre for medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. Course curricula more consist of core electrical engineering and a small amount of electronics. Semester exams are not much difficult and the majority of the students pass the exam. So the passing percentage is above 90 percent.

You can't expect 80 LPA to 1CR packages but you can expect 20–30 LPA.
Placements: I am in my second year of B.Tech. EE. I will graduate from this college in 2027. Till now, what I have experienced is that this college has good infrastructure. The placement cell is average from my point of view, as the highest package last year was 48 LPA, and that was also international, not domestic. If you have skills and are good at academics, you can grab a 20+ LPA easily.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is well maintained; we have to do almost 144 credits in B.Tech. in 4 years. We have to take the midterm and endterm twice a year; there are two seems in a year. hostel is very good, as each room is provided with AC 24/7. There are 2 hostels for boys and one for girls. Wi-fi is also available but sometimes it is not that properly working but almost everytime it gives a speed of 250mbps. The library is also good for studying as there is no disturbance. It have sufficient books for everyone. Mess food is average and you get 4 meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner) .
Faculty: The exams conducted here are organized. The difficulty of the exam is decided by the respective professor. On an exam, papers are doable if you study one or two days prior to the exam. But I will suggest that you attend classes. You can change your branch in your first year but you have to get a 9+ CGPA in your first year to go into CSE or DSAI. Teachers have TA's that assist you with any problem and you can personally go to professors and meet them in person. Yes, if you work with professors on projects, you will get an idea of how industry works and can have internships through them.
Other: I chose this course because it is a core branch. I didn't want to go into mechatronics or the lower branches, as in electrical engineering, communication and digital electronics, which have high potential in the future. I will suggest that if you are going to come to IIT Bhilai, you can expect packages of 20–30 LPA if you are good in academics and have skills.

This college is good but if you are eligible for any 2nd or 1st grade IIT, don't come here.
Placements: 33% placements were offered this year because of recession. The average package is 14 to 16 LPA. Deloitte is the top recruiter. The thing I don't like is that Google doesn't come here but yes, Microsoft and Amazon do come here. People mostly try off-campus and they get very good packages like 60 LPA, 80 LPA and even 1 CRPA. There is less competition because of the smaller population, as this is a third-generation IIT.
Infrastructure: The hostel is very good. They provide AC in every room. Decent Wi-Fi is there. Mess food is below average. It was good last year. But this time, they messed it up. Also, COSAA, whose overview of everyone's problems is not so good as students are less likely to be found, is only 50 to 45 Lacs for the whole year. Fest is also not that good. It's like some small private colleges, really.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and especially electrical faculty members are very good. Teacher assistance is also nice to students, as they are also M.Tech or PhD students. The course of study or plan of study is well maintained and there are 2 semesters in a year, with 2 midterms and 2 end terms.
Other: I chose this course as this is a core branch.
