IIT Dhanbad UG, PG, Certificate Courses 2025

IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. IIT JAM 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 15, 2026. The examination will be held in 2 sessions. IIT Madras, the examination conducting body will be organizing the exam at the JAM 2026 exam centres across the nation.

IIT JAM is a joint entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission to M.Sc., Ph.D., and other postgraduate programs in Science and its allied subjects. It is one of the most popular entrance exams for Science students in India 

IIT Dhanbad BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 3594 and, 14417 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, CSE is the most competitive specialisation. So, considering the round 1 cutoff, candidates seeking admission to Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad must secure a maximum rank upto 14417.

Furthermore, according to IIT Dhanbad OBC AI category cutoff 2024, the Last Round closing ranks varied from 1205 to 5398. 

IIT (ISM), Dhanbad offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The courses provided by the institute include BTech, Dual degree (BTech-MTech), MTech, MSc MBA, MSc Tech, Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF), and PhD. under 18 departments. Also, for admissions to these courses, candidates need to clear the eligibility criteria. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). IIT Dhanbad JEE Advanced Cutoff was released based on the category and gender. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 3846 and 15321. To get B.Tech. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, the General AI category candidates must have secured a minimum cutoff rank of 9875. For the General AI female candidates, the minimum JEE Advanced rank to get Mechanical Engineering was 19099. For the OBC AI category, the cutoff rank for Mechanical closed at 7762. 

Therefore, a General AI candidate or an OBC AI candidate can secure a seat in Mechanical Engineering with the cutoff rank of 1500. However, the Cutoff rank to secure the course would depend on the category and gender as well.

To secure admission at IIT Dhanbad BTech candidates must secure a good rank in JEE Advanced. The IIT Dhanbad JEE Advanced 2023 cutoff for BTech specialisations ranged between 3258 and 17181.

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 4270 and closing rank was 4710. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 1774 and 9854. Admission to Integrated M.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing in IIT Dhanbad (ISM) is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

IIT Dhanbad has been palced on 17th position by NIRF in the year 2023.  As per the NIRF 2023 reports available on the official website. The eligibility criteria for MTech course at IIT Dhanbad is Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent or a Master's degree in Science/Arts/Commerce with at least 60% aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 6.0 in 10 point scale (55% aggregate or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST). IIT Dhanbad JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has been released for the third round. The cutoff was released for BTch and Integrated BTech courses. The cutoff ranks for the General AI category were between the range of 4014 and 16143. As per the cutoff range, it is possible to get admission at 10,000 range. At 10,000 rank, student can get admission to a number of specialisations such as B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, B.Tech. in Petroleum Engineering, B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering etc. However, if the student wants to get admission to the top branches such as CSE and Electrical, then admission at 10,000 rank is difficult.
