You must join one of the premium institutes of India with world-class facilities.

Placements: Above 70% of students get placed in my specialization. The highest package is around 40 LPA, the average package is 12 LPA, and the lowest can reach up to 7-8 LPA. Top recruiters are Bajaj, Reliance, Texas Instruments, Switch Mobility, and many more companies. 3-4 students get internships out of 14 students from my specialisation in Ola, Eaton, TVS, and Texas Instruments.

IIT Guwahati is one of the top 10 colleges in India, with a vibrant campus of 700 acres.

Placements: In my department, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, in the power engineering specialisation, there is an 80 percent placement rate, but in other branches overall it is as low as 40 percent. In my specialisation, the highest package is 40 LPA by Texas Industries, and the average is 12 LPA. 5 students got internships out of 13 in different companies like Eaton, TVS, Texas Industries, and OLA. The top roles offered are as power electronics engineer.

One of the best institutes in India.

Placements: In our institute, 100 percent of students are placed. The highest package paid is 12 LPA and the lowest falls between 6 LPA and 8 LPA. Recruiting companies are Jspider and Qspider. Many of our seniors are getting internship offers from ITK, Jspider, etc. Two roles offered are developer, tester, and permit engineer.

Review of IIT Guwahati's beauty in 2026.

Placements: Placements here are average. Many companies come here as it's a tier-one college. The other side is that the number of companies visiting the college is slightly decreasing due to the recession and AI evolution. Otherwise, placements here are good in tech as well as in non-tech roles.

Really beautiful campus- IITG.

Placements: A batch of 17 students graduated in 2026. This was the first batch of energy engineering to pass out from IITG. I have heard placements of a few of them. I'm expecting around 10-12 students to get placed. The highest package might be around 40 LPA, and the average might be 15 LPA.

College Life at India's Most Beautiful Campus.

Placements: Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent, especially in the tech field, with high placement rates and strong average packages, generally 30 LPA. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course, if I do not get placed on campus, which is hardly possible, I'll look for other off-campus placements.

If you belong to the General AI category, the UCEED Round 1 cutoff 2026 for B.Des admission was 77. The cutoff rank depends on the round and category. Therefore, candidates must target a lower cutoff rank to have a better chance of securing a seat at IIT Guwahati.
