NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, IIT Jammu ranks 56th under the category 'Engineering'.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registrations for session 2 started for IIT Jammu admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The last date to register for the same is Feb 25, 2026. Further, the session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 admit cards can now be downloaded from the official portal for admission to the MSc course. Further, the IIT JAM exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 15, 2026.

As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.

Admission to the BTech course offered at IIIT Guwahati is entrance-based. Students need to appear and clear JEE Main exam to secure their seat at the institute. JEE Main 2025 application fee is INR 1000 for unreserved category students and INR 800 for reserved category and female candidates. Yes, you will get CSE at IIT Jammu with a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of 6000 if you belong to the General AI quota. However, you have to wait till the last round, as the cutoff ranks are generally higher in the initial rounds. For the unreserved category, the IIT Jammu CSE cutoff 2025 was 5988 in the first round. In the last round, the cutoff rank closed at 6651. Therefore, the probability of you getting CSE with a 6000 rank is high in the last round for admission. No, candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Jammu must have qualified JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced for admission. Final selection of candidates to IIT Jammu BTech programme is based on their JEE Advanced ranks. The counselling process is managed and regulated by JoSAA. The total tuition fee for IIT Jammu's MTech programme is INR 80,000. This fee element, howevet, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. Other than the tuition fee, students have to pay other one-time charges, such as the application fee, entrance application fee, exam fee, library, alumni and other charges. However, this fee and fee-breakup can be sourced from the admission office of IIT Jammu once admission is confirmed. BTech at IIT Jammu is available across seven specialisations. IIT Jammu's UG courses include 20% seats (category wise) for IIT Jammu + IIM Jammu dual degree program (four-year BTech of IIT Jammu and two-year MBA of IIM Jammu). The transition to IIM Jammu MBA is to be opted by the end of the third year of the IIT Jammu BTech course. This is a direct transition to IIM Jammu MBA programme that too without CAT and is subject to having a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in the BTech course. All these specialisations are as follows:

IIT Jammu total tuition fee for the BTech course is INR 8 lakh. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech course is INR 80,000. The fee for the MSc course is INR 26,000. Expensive or not, depends on person to person. Those students who find the fee expensive must apply for the scholarships.
