- GATE 2027 City allotment notification for admission to the ME/MTech and PhD will be announced on Jan 4, 2027. The exam will be held from Feb 6 to Feb 7, 2027; Feb 13 to Feb 14, 2027; and Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2027.
- IIT JAM 2027 registration process for admission to the MSc course has concluded. The exam will be conducted on Feb 14, 2027.
- JEE Main 2027 session 1 online application form is now available on the official website for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses till Nov 22, 2026. The exam will be held on Jan 22, 2027 to Jan 24, 2027 and Jan 28, 2027 to Jan 30, 2027 respectively.

The tuition and registration fee for BTech at IIT Mandi amounts to INR 8,08000. Students may also have to pay some other charges directly to the college. This is the fee for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS category students.
Admission criteria to IIT Mandi is both, merit and entrance based and is different for all UG and PG programmes. To get into UG programmes, the eligibility criteria is the minimum aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent, along with entrance exams. Similarly, the eligibility criteria to get into PG programmes is graduation in any discipline (this may vary from course to course), along with entrance exams for a few courses.
IIT Mandi course admissions are entrance-based. Those seeking admission to BTech and MTech must register for JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE/ IIT JAM respectively. Also, each course has its eligibility criteria and it is compulsory to fulfil these criteria.

Aspirants with a valid bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialisation are eligible to apply for the PG course. Admission to MTech at IIT Mandi is based on merit in GATE followed by COAP counselling. Candidates with a score equal to more than the cutoff become eligible to participate in the counselling round. IIT Mandi offers merit-cum-means scholarship to BTech students of different categories. The criteria is bifurcated for General, SC/ ST, and OBC category candidates. Students wanting to avail scholarship benefits need to meet the prescribed criteria. The criteria for MCM scholarship for General/ OBC candidates is mentined below:
