The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam for IIT Ropar admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam date for admission to the MSc course is Feb 15, 2026.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.

MTech at IIT Ropar is a PG course offered in the full-time mode. IIT Ropar fees are cumulative of components such as one-time payment, tuition fees, hostel charges and more. The tuition fees for MTech is INR 34000 for two years. The hostel fee amount to INR 37200. Additionally, selected candidates must pay a one-time fee at the time of admission. Yes, IIT Ropar has eight hostels, six for boys (Satlej, Beas, Sindhu, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune) and two for girls (Ravi, Venus) to house approximately 3000 students. IIT Ropar is a residential institute; therefore, all the students are required to reside in the hostels. All the hostel rooms are spacious and have all the basic furniture, such as a study table, chair, cupboard, single bed, etc. The rooms are allocated on a single and double occupancy basis. IIT Ropar hostels consist of dedicated rooms for recreational activities, providing a holistic environment for the students.

Considering the IIT Ropar JAM cutoff 2025 for the Round 4 seat allotment, yes, there are courses reaching upto a cutoff rank of 500 at IIT Ropar. For the candidates belonging to the General AI quota, a 500 rank would not fetch you M.Sc. in Chemistry, but it could get you M.Sc. in Mathematics and MSc
