1: IIT Tirupati Application Process 2026
Candidates seeking admission at IIT Tirupati need to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam. For example, for BTech, candidates are required to apply for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced application. Similarly, for the MSc, IIT JAM application form is required to be completed. However, for MTech admission, candidates have to register for GATE first. The qualifying candidates have further applied for COAP and then apply on the official website of IIT Tirupati to proceed to confirm their admission. For all other courses, aspirants need to apply on the institute's website.
The application fees for MPP, MTech, MS (Research) and PhD courses is INR 400 for Gen/ EWS/ OBC-NCL male candidates (INR 200 for female/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).
2: Selection Rounds
IIT Tirupati admits students to BTech courses based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores. Candidates are allotted seats in JoSAA Counselling for BTech courses. Admission to MTech is through GATE followed by COAP Counselling. The institute considers IIT JAM and JOAPS Counselling for MSc courses.
The institute conducts written test and interview for MS Research and PhD courses. Candidates need to appear for Track 1 and Track 2 written test followed by PI for MPP programme. 3: Release of Cutoff list

4. Counselling & Document Verification
