A review on International Maritime Academy.
Placements: The placements are not provided by this college. The college has many tie-ups with the industry. The students have to pay some amount to the admin office, after that they will provide placements. If you have any problem regarding placements, it can be solved by contacting the admin office.
Infrastructure: International Maritime Academy has good infrastructure. It has its own multi-storey building. There is a special marine block for the course. There is a separate building known as marine hostel block for hostel facility. A special block is allocated for the library.
Faculty: International Maritime Academy has experienced faculty. They are divided according to the course. B.Tech marine engineering is taught by chief engineers. B.Sc in nautical science is covered by captains and naval architecture is taught by chief naval architect and marine drawing engineers.
Other: IMA hosts most of the festivals like National Maritime Day, inter-college festivals, sports tournaments, etc.

Good infra, bad placement.
Placements: Talk about everything but if you are talking about placement, it's your fault. I don't know why companies don't visit this college. Internship for all students without stipend. There is no placement cell. Take admission at your own risk. College does not try for placements.
Infrastructure: You will give 8 out of 10. There is Wi-Fi in the college for all the students. Labs are well maintained. The library is okay. There are very few books. If you are talking about the medical facility, there is no help from the college side. Sports and games are outstanding. Cricket ground, football ground basketball court, etc. are all there.
Faculty: Teachers are not well qualified according to the course. They are knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very low. They use PPT presentation for teaching. Student and faculty ratio was 40:1. No, I didn't get any industry exposure. Yes, course curriculum was very useful.
Other: There is no more events. Campus crowd was very good. Connectivity was very low, scholarship is not given by college. No extracurricular activities.

Average college life. Worst hostel life. Nobody cares and all they need is money.
Placements: No placement opportunities offered by the college. They just give a degree. They promise that the companies will visit, but they don't invite anyone. Neither do companies opt this college for the recruitment which is worthless. Take admission if nothing else works out as the last option for maritime courses. I would recommend joining any college than this.
Infrastructure: I would say 7/10 for campus and 4/10 for the hostel. But they are improving day by day. Hope they will be good soon. The infrastructure of the college is quite okay. But they don't provide good stuff for the hostel. We used to survive not live. I still think I have wasted my four years.
Faculty: (6/10 - faculty) (7/10 course curriculum). The faculty members aren't good enough. Sometimes we used to spend the whole semester without the subject teacher as well. The course curriculum is average and acceptable. Need to work more on this. And should concentrate more on this.
Other: The hostel life is worst. The senior students rag and beat the junior students after getting drunk. Nobody cares about them. Even the wardens have beaten up them. Do not take admission if you're weak by heart. And the students are more likely to get influenced by alcohol and drugs as well.

Other: The college has got enough of issues with the university. Please ensure that the course you have selected is approved from UGC and AICTE. Also, verify the same with UGC before joining. College infrastructure is good. Faculty and administration is average. Poor mess facilities. Average sports facilities.
