It is a great college with great faculty members.
Placements: I am a B.Tech CSE (Data Science and Analytics) student at IIIT Sonepat. Our placement rate is 85%. The package offered ranges from 6 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package is 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Flipkart. Many students secure SDE internships at top tech firms.
Infrastructure: IIIT Sonepat has modern infrastructure with campus-wide Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and advanced CS labs. Hostels are comfy with Wi-Fi. Mess food is average but hygienic. Medical aid is available. There are sports facilities including cricket, football, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Sonepat are qualified and supportive. They emphasizes core subjects and practical learning. The CSE course curriculum is industry-oriented. Exams are moderately tough with a 90% pass rate. The program prepares students well for tech careers.
Other: I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE at IIIT Sonepat, because of my passion for coding and tech. The industry-aligned curriculum and peer learning are strong points. More electives and better infrastructure should be provided, which would be helpful. Clubs, fests, and NCR connectivity are plus points here.

The faculty is great, and the campus is average.
Placements: The 2023 placements are 78.79% for IIIT Sonepat, with the highest package being 52 LPA and the average sitting around 16.5 LPA. Top recruiters include Amazon, Deloitte, and Juspay, who also offer internships in other top tech firms. Positions include Software Developer, Data Analyst, Consultant, and QA Engineer.
Infrastructure: This institution provides wireless internet access alongside modern laboratories, smart classrooms, well-stocked libraries, comfortable student hostels, reasonably palatable mess food, a cafeteria, primary medical assistance, and sports infrastructure including a gymnasium and courts. In summary, the college’s facilities balance student life and academics.
Faculty: Instructors are well-trained, proficient, and experienced. Explanation of class material is done at a conceptual level. It is well-tailored and current, providing students with skills relevant to the industry. The level of difficulty of semester exams is fair, with an average pass rate of 80–85%.
Other: I pursue B.Tech in CSE, batch of 2023. I choose it for my strong tech interest and career scope. I love the practical learning and coding culture. It needs more industry exposure. Fests are fun, the crowd is diverse, there is good connectivity, scholarships, and great clubs.

IIIT Sonepat - A brief review.
Placements: Since the Data Science and Analytics program is new. Our batch is the first batch, so, there are no placement records. Around 80% of students are placed in other courses like IT and CSE with an average package of 16 LPA as per the official sources. Top recruiters include Amazon, Deloitte, Jio, etc.
Infrastructure: Currently, IIIT Sonipat is temporarily running inside a rented building block of SBIT, but its own campus is under construction and will be completed in 2025. The temporary campus has all the facilities for the students like well-equipped labs, digital and AC classrooms, libraries, etc. Hostels are also provided inside the temporary campus, with a playground, sports facilities, AC facilities, and CCTV cameras.
Faculty: The faculty is great here. They are knowledgeable and helpful. There is no such strictness regarding marks here and maintaining CGPA is doable. If you are willing to do extracurricular or just polish your skills, then you will get sufficient time here. Overall learning experience with amazing colleagues and professors is pretty awesome.
Other: I chose this course because when I researched data science during my JEE preparation, it seemed pretty interesting. Also, professors here are enthusiastic about data science. Not many fests are organized which is the case in almost every IIIT. A sports fest 'AGNITO' is organized every year.

Honest review of IIIT Sonepat - Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: In my college, in 2024, around 70.73% students got placed. Out of 41 eligible students, only 35 are placed from the CSE branch, which is not bad. The highest package is 40 LPA, which is excellent. The average package is 15.87 LPA, including both IT and CSE branches. Many students got internships from companies like Amazon and Microsoft. Many students are also placed off-campus.
Infrastructure: Currently, we don't have a permanent campus, so our classes are running in the temporary campus SBIT in Pallri. SBIT college also provides a hostel, so I would rate 2.8 out of 5 for it. Many PG services are also available. Our classrooms have a projector or smart board and ACs. Labs have proper machines.
Faculty: All faculty members are very good. Most of the faculty members have completed their PhD from IIT. 3 exams are held every semester, i.e., mid-semester 1, mid-semester 2, and end-semester exams. Mid-semester 1, mid-semester 2 exams are of 1 hour only, but the end-semester exam is of 3 hours.
Other: I wish that we would soon shift to our permanent campus, which might be completed in January 2026. There is a sports fest named AGNITO in our college. Many students get scholarships from the state government, central government, and private also.
