The age limit will be applicable as mentioned in JEE Main/JEE Advanced brochure and official website. There is no seperate age limit criteria prescribed for JoSAA counselling.

The official website for CSAB counselling is csab.nic.in. This website hosts the schedule and details related to CSAB counselling for all rounds - Special, NEUT and Supernumerary.

It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Students should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all conditions of eligibility. However many institutes admit students on basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12. 

The schedule of JEE Main counselling is announced on the JoSAA website. The detailed round-wise schedule of counselling will be released after the JEE result is announced. Candidates can also check the details about the JoSAA counselling schedule on the Shiksha page.

The institutes that participate in JoSAA counselling are:

1. 23 IITs
2. IISc Bangalore
3. 31 NITs
4. IIEST Shibpur
5. 26 IIITs
6. 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs)

The courses offered by the 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IISC Bangalore, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) via the JoSAA counselling includes:

• BTech in various Engineering disciplines.
• BSc programs in Science.
• BArch in Architecture.
• Dual Degree programs like B.Tech-MTech and BS-MS.
• Integrated M.Tech and Integrated MSc programs.

• Candidates should have JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced rank.
• Candidates must have at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates must be at least 65%.
• Candidates must be within the category wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class 12 board.

There is no fees on registration of JoSAA counselling. You can register for counselling and participate without any fees but you will need to pay seat confirmation fees once the seat is allotted. Seat confirmation fee is different for various categories and paid online.

The cutoff for NITs vary for various branches and also category of students. Specialised branches like computer Science and electronics engineering has higher cutoff in comparison to other branches. Similarly, JEE Main cutoff for general category candidates is higher in comparison to OBC-NCL and SC, ST candidates. The JEE Main cutoff for GFTIs is released by the JoSAA after the counselling is over. Candidates can check previous year JEE Main cutoff for GFTIs from the Shiksha page. The cutoff for GFTIs vary for various branches and also category of students.

To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).

Yes, candidates who do not participate in the JoSAA counselling are eligible to participate in the CSAB counselling. Candidates must complete the CSAB counselling registration using JEE Main application number. After the registration process, the exam authorities will commence the document verification process. 

The CSAB special counselling started on July 28.

JEE Main counselling and seat allotment has many processes. Once seat is allotted to a candidate, you have option of Accept and Freeze, Accept and Float and Slide. If you are satisfied with allotted seat and select first option, you cannot participate in next round counselling. If you are not satisfied, select second or third option to participate in next round with the current seat.

The round-wise cutoff ranks for JEE Main counselling can be checked on the JoSAA portal at jossa. Nic. In. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority is the organizing body of JEE Main counselling. The cutoff for each round for all the participating institutes and branch/specializations are made available on the JoSAA portal. As per the JEE Main cutoff data released by the NTA, PwD category has the lowest cutoff.
