The JoSAA counselling registration link is made available on the official JoSAA counselling website, josaa.nic.in. 

• Candidates should have JEE Main and/or JEE Advanced rank.
• Candidates must have at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates must be at least 65%.
• Candidates must be within the category wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class 12 board.

CRL stands for Common Rank List in the JEE Main result, representing a candidate's overall rank among all test-takers nationwide, regardless of category.

In JEE Mains, ties are broken using subject-wise NTA scores (prioritising Mathematics, then Physics, then Chemistry), followed by a lower ratio of incorrect-to-correct answers. Age is no longer used.

As per the JEE Main 2023 cutoff data released by the NTA, PwD category has the lowest cutoff of 0.0013527. The highest cutoff is for general category which is 90.7788642. The PwD candidates scoring above 0.0013527 NTA score are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. The PwD cutoff has been lowered in 2023 to 0.0013527 which was 0.0031029 in the year 2022.

The cutoff for NITs vary for various branches and also category of students. Specialised branches like computer Science and electronics engineering has higher cutoff in comparison to other branches. Similarly, JEE Main cutoff for general category candidates is higher in comparison to OBC-NCL and SC, ST candidates. It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Students should apply for JoSAA conselling only if they fulfill all conditions of eligibility. However many institutes admit students on basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12. 

Candidates who do not score above JEE Main cutoff marks are eligible to take admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs but not IITs. To appear in the admission process for IITs, candidates need to get marks above than the JEE Main cutoff and appear in JEE Advanced exam.

Yes, candidates can participate in JEE Main counselling even if they do not meet the cutoff. Scoring above JEE Main cutoff is required only when candidates wish to appear in JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. Those candidates who wish to take admission in NITs, IIITs or other GFTIs can take part in JEE Main counselling conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA for admissions.

Candidates can fill in choices in JoSAA counselling till June 11.

The age limit will be applicable as mentioned in JEE Main/JEE Advanced brochure and official website. There is no seperate age limit criteria prescribed for JoSAA counselling.

Yes, candidates who do not participate in the JoSAA counselling are eligible to participate in the CSAB counselling. Candidates must complete the CSAB counselling registration using JEE Main application number. After the registration process, the exam authorities will commence the document verification process. 

The CSAB counselling is conducted after the completion of JoSAA. The dates of CSAB is announced after the last round JoSAA counselling at csab.nic.in. The counselling process will begin with the CSAB NEUT round, followed by the special round, and finally the supernumerary round. The schedule for the CSAB NEUT round, as well as the special and supernumerary rounds will differ.

To participate in the JEE Main counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of JoSAA registration. Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 Certificate of category (if applicable), PwD Certificate (if applicable). After the seat allotment, while reporting to the institute, candidates will also need to submit documents like JoSAA seat allotment letter, JEE Main/Advanced admit card, Gap Certificate (if gap after class 12).
