Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.

IIT Guwahati has a seat intake of 33 for a full-time Master of Design (MDes) programme of two-year duration. The institute offers 13 seats for the General category. Apart from this, IIT Guwahati has 3 seats for the EWS General category, 9 seats for OBC-NCL, 5 seats for SC, and 3 seats for ST. Additionally, there are 30 seats in MDes Electronic Product Design.

According to the released infromation, Candidates interested in BDes admissions at IIT Guwahati must go through the UCEED exam which is conducted by IIT Bombay. A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times.

1. Age limit - The candidate needs to be born on or after October 1, 1999. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of five years. 
2. UCEED 2025 qualification - The candidate must have qualified in the UCEED 2025 entrance exam and must have been allocated a merit rank.
3. Qualifying examination - The candidate must have passed all the subjects in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) in 2023 or should be appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025.

Yes, IIT Guwahati offers scholarships to BDes students. The institute offers Institute Merit Scholarship, Institute Merit-cum-Means (McM) Scholarships, SC-ST Scholarships and others. Apart from this, the institute also offers assistanship to BDes students. Assistantships are provided to regular students (Indian nationals) in the CEED score condition for getting assistantships is exempted for students with BDes degrees from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) with minimum CPI of 8.0. 

To qualify for IIT Guwahati MBA programme CAT is mandatory. Without a valid CAT score interested students cannot apply for MBA at IIT Guwahati. The selection criteria for the M.Tech programme offered at IIT Guwahati comprises a valid GATE score followed by COAP counselling. Aspirants with a valid BTech or BE/ MCA/ MSc/ AMIETE degree with 60% aggregate or 6.0 CPI can apply. The GATE application process is carried out online (gate.iitk.ac.in). Applications must be submitted within the due date. The GATE application fee for boys is INR 1,700, INR 850 for girls, and INR 850 for SC/ST/PwD category students.
