IIT Dhanbad Placement Overview 2026
The IIT ISM Dhanbad placements 2026 are still ongoing, however the interim placement report for the batch passing out in 2026 has been released. As per the latest report, a total of 1,491 students actively participated, out of these 1,088 were placed in the recent placement drive. In all 1,153 offers were made to students from these 1,089 were unique offers. The number of PPO's offered to the students was 214 from these 196 PPO's were accepted during the latest placement season. The overall average and median salary offered was respectively, INR 16.59 LPA and INR 13 LPA. The average and median packages given to UG students during IIT ISM Dhanbad placements 2025 was respectively, INR 18.84 LPA and INR 14.43 LPA. Moreover, the average and median salary packages for PG programmes was INR 11.24 LPA and INR 10 LPA. More than 350 companies visited the IIT Dhanbad campus for the placement drive.

IIT Dhanbad Placement Report 2026
As of now 1,089 offers have been extended to students of these 1,016 were national offers. The number of offers made by PSU were 67 and the number of international offers made in the IIT Dhanbad placement drive was 6. So far, 275 students have received job offers above INR 20 LPA. Additionally, 422 students got job offers between INR 10 LPA and INR 20 LPA. Overall 338 students received placement offers between INR 6 LPA and INR 10 LPA. More than 50 companies made PPO's to students from different courses. The average salary package for UG and PG students during IIT Dhanbad placements 2025 was respectively INR 18.84 LPA and INR 11.24 LPA. So far, the placement rate recorded has reached 72.97% during the 2025 IIT ISM Dhanbad placement drive.
Earlier, as per the official IIT Dhanbad placement report 2025, a total of 1,144 offers were made out of which 1085 were unique offers. Among the total offers, 30 were international offers. In addition, more than 250 companies visited the campus during IIT Dhanbad placement 2025. In 2025, 249 PPOs were received out of which 221 PPOs were accepted.
