B.Sc. (Hons.) in Microbiology - Batch of 2024
2.4
It provides poor infrastructure of this college with its least facilities available.
Placements: B.Sc. microbiology is a very good course. In the future, this may give good placements in some of the top companies all around the globe. Not only this, but it may also provide a highly reputed job and can give a good earnings as well. Some of the top roles offered include microbiologist, geneticist, etc.
Infrastructure: This college does not have a hostel of its own and it has extremely poor infrastructure. Basic facilities like clean washrooms and water coolers are not up to the mark. Moreover, the classrooms are not ventilated wherein even the fans do not work properly.
Faculty: The teaching staff is moderate. While some teachers provide students notes and teach properly. On the other hand, others do not even bother whether the students are able to understand the concept or not. Use of smartboards is minimal. The teaching quality should be efficiently increased.
Other: The campus crowd is very cheap. This college does not pay attention to any type of sports. Moreover, any sort of event or fest is rarely organised on this campus. There is a poor campus life which is not at all enjoyed by many.

Excellent faculty and good infrastructure.
Placements: The college provides many opportunities to work with different companies through internships. The placement cell of college is quite active in this regard. However, Masters is preferred for courses like microbiology. Students can learn from internships.
Infrastructure: The college has a well designed infrastructure with Wi-Fi available. It has ground for chilling, basketball court, canteen for snacking. The library is very well stocked with almost every book available related to the course. It has good capacity to sit and study. The labs are also well-equipped with all the latest instruments.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified in their respective courses. They have a vast knowledge and good experience in their subjects. They're always willing to help students with the doubts or any problem. They frequently share extra information with students. The semester exams are average, neither too easy nor too hard. One can easily pass by studying with concentration in class itself.

Infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: Amity and other private schools are the recruiters for home science students. B.Sc students of the science stream preferred higher education. Almost all students of our batch went for higher education like masters and PhD. Some students got placed in hospitals as microbiologists. The course offered an excellent understanding of the subject, which helped in figuring future prospects.
Infrastructure: The quality of food available in the canteen was very good. I am completely satisfied with the charges too. Classrooms and other facilities were satisfactory. Wi-Fi was provided with password protection to every student of college. Labs were well-equipped.
Faculty: Teachers were extremely qualified, and the courses taught were relevant for industry placement. Semester exams were moderate in terms of difficulty. The pass percentage is 33% for semester exams, and 75% for attendance was compulsory in order to attend exams.

It is an average DU college, but the education provided is good.
Placements: After completing bachelor's, students usually need to pursue a master's before they can apply for a placement. Placements offered are usually in colleges as professors or as researchers in hospitals or research labs. Even internships are from hospitals and clinics and not from specific companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in our college are like typical government university college rooms, but we do have Wi-Fi. The lab is equipped well as it is under the allowance of DU. The canteen served fresh food everyday couple hours before the lunch break. When ordered, they serve some items like noodles, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are mostly PhD holders, or they have years worth of experience. Hence they have a lot of knowledge. The course curriculum is mostly relevant except a few things that got excluded from syllabus altogether but are needed in entrances.

Review of Institute of Home Economics.
Placements: Placements in our college were good. The average salary offered ranges between Rs. 25,000 per month to Rs. 30,000 per month. Companies like Pharmaceutical visited our campus for placements. Roles offered to students is Assistant under researcher. The college comes under star college of the University of Delhi. It offers project as a summer internship to the selected students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. College is not so huge, and it has only two buildings. The college does not have a garden and ground. Labs are well-equipped. Library and classrooms are in a good state. For sports and games, the college provides indoor courts and outdoor badminton and basketball court. The gym is also there on the campus. A medical room is also available on the campus. Quality of food served in the canteen was good. Fast food, North Indian and South Indian food were also available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, friendly and well-qualified. They are PhD holders, and few teachers also have patents. Both board and presentation methods are used for teaching. The college conducted an industry visit to Yakult. The college conducted lab visit to JNU and LIFTED. The student to faculty ratio per batch is 30:8.
Other: Annual college fest named Feria is organised, which has an EDM night and a star night.

The college is not worth the fee paid.
Placements: The placement cell of our college is active only for home science students. We don't have any opportunities in our profile. Companies like HealthifyMe, Breakthrough India, ALP Solution, Sarvahitey, etc., visit the campus for placements. Students are offered the role of counselling, sales, working for NGOs, nutrition expert and apparel profiles. There is a placement cell in our college. Many companies visited the campus this year. If you want to pursue home science, then placements here are good.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available, but it doesn't work sometimes. Labs are pretty well-equipped. It is not as per the strength of the class, and everybody gets all the equipment easily. Classrooms are very small. The library is very good, and you can get almost every book you want to study. Medical facilities are available. We have a medical room with a trained nurse to provide first-aid and other medicine to students. Earlier, there were two canteens, and there is only one canteen now. Food served in the canteen is pathetic. Hostel rooms are in bad condition. It is a quite small college according to the infrastructure. They take good care of cleanliness, but washrooms are very stinky.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are quite good and well experienced. They take you in good projects which helps you to build your CV. The course curriculum is designed in a good manner providing insight into the subject. We have GE and DSE that helps you to have an extra minor subject that you can pursue later on.
Other: Not many events are organised in our college as in other colleges. The fest is arranged well. As it is a girls' college, the campus crowd is very good.

A place to gain knowledge at its best.
Placements: Getting placed was a little difficult task for graduate students, so they opt for post graduation. Jobs offered on graduation basis are not long-lasting, so it's always advisable to go for a Masters so that you can have better opportunities and you can become a quick learner.
Infrastructure: Delhi University is the best place to gain knowledge. They help you to perform practicals repeatedly. They also take you to the main campus for external practicals. Classrooms are well-organised. Every student gains good knowledge to perform practicals individually. The library is very good, and you can find every book.
Faculty: Teachers are very hard working. They help you with your doubts and are really knowledgeable. They arranged an industrial trip for us. The course curriculum was also very good. I was actually happy while studying at Delhi University. I am always thankful to my teachers.
Other: Co-curricular activities are conducted in our college.

Best college ever which gave me the best memories and friends for life.
Placements: There is no placement for graduation in our stream from Delhi University but it is the best college with a high cut-off. The best teachers are there to guide you for your future prospects. We didn't get any kind of stipend or offers during graduation but during vacations, the college organized internships for the students who were keen to learn new technologies and provide them a chance to work in collaboration with other courses on different projects.
Infrastructure: Every facility that is required by the students is there and by this time, new building is also made with more space and laboratories. Wi-Fi is always available. The computer labs are also there where you can search things that are only accessible by college connection. Medical facilities are also there with proper medical care. A hostel is also there but it is far away from the college but the rooms and facilities are good. The library is big with all the books that are important and related to our course with multiple copies.
Faculty: The faculty is very good and the course curriculum is well designed with practical experiments that are very helpful for science students. The teachers are well educated with good knowledge. They are very cooperative and help the students to understand each and everything in detail without questioning anything. Tests and internal exams are always there to prepare the students for the final exams. We had the best results in our college.
Other: Every festival was celebrated with excitement and enthusiasm. Also, fests are organized every year with all the activities including dance, singing fashion shows, street plays. Different societies were made for each activity and were organized and controlled by the president of the college who was elected by the students. It was also helpful in making the students confident and multitalented.
