Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) syllabus is prescribed by IISM. The topics included in the SMAT syllabus are specially designed to cater to general management and sports domain. It includes Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Verbal Reasoning and Sports Awareness. The SMAT focuses on the candidate’s liking and awareness of the sports industry and their acumen for the business side of sports. These subjects are applicable to both UG and PG courses. SMAT syllabus: Highlights

Main areas on which the candidate will be tested in SMAT 2026 are Mathematics and English. There will be 30 per cent weightage for sports-related questions. Candidates are advised that they must study about various aspects of sports as a field and as an industry, instead of merely memorising records and personalities.
