A:

KPPGCA lays down the syllabus for the KMAT. KPPGCA is the governing body responsible for conducting the KMAT exam in Karnataka. They determine the exam syllabus and exam pattern to assess the aptitude and skills of candidates seeking admission to management programs in participating colleges in Karnataka. The organisation was established to provide support to professional education and facilitate and streamline the admissions to postgraduate professional courses. The KMAT syllabus covers various subjects, including Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.

Q:   Is the difficulty level of KMAT comparable to other MBA exams?
A:

KMAT exam is typically considered to be easier as compared to the national-level MBA entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. The KMAT exam has basic concepts, no negative marking along with balanced sections.
Whereas, exams such as CAT, XAT, SNAP, CMAT, NMAT have high-level reasoning, data interpretation and negative markings. They are speed based exams and have slightly tricky questions.

Q:   What is the best way to prepare KMAT at home?
A:

Students can use KMAT syllabus as a guide to prepare for important topics. Students should have a study routine which should be divided in parts. They can also practice using KMAT PYQPs. Mock tests should be Holy Grail to ace KMAT exam.

Q:   How can I crack KMAT in 3 months?
A:

To crack the KMAT exam in three months, students need to make a KMAT preparation plan which covers the complete KMAT syllabus. They should ensure that they allocate enough time to different topics in the KMAT syllabus based on strengths and weaknesses and still have time for revision. Students should take full length and sectional mock tests for KMAT. This will help them improve their time management skill. To prepare better, students should try to analyse their performance in the mock tests and check the areas where the mistakes have been made. Students can spend more time on improving the weaknesses.
