KMAT registrations 2022 has been extended until further notice. Earlier, the last date to apply was August 31, 2022, by 5 PM. The registration window opened on June 6. Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) will likely conduct the KMAT 2022 exam in the last week of Octoner 2022 in a home-based online proctored mode. 

The application form for KMAT 2022 is available in online mode only. KMAT application form 2022 for MBA/PGDM and MCA is the same, and candidates have to select their course for admission while filling up the form itself. Candidates must pay the application fee to complete their KMAT registrations. Candidates must check the KMAT eligibility criteria 2022 and instructions to fill the form before filling up the application form.

Documents Required for Filling the KMAT Application Form 2022

Before candidates start filling KMAT application form, they should have the following required documents:

  • Class 10 mark sheet

  • Class 12 mark sheet

  • Graduation mark sheet/certificate

  • Date of birth proof

  • Address proof

  • Caste category certificate (if applicable)

  • Credit/debit card or net banking credentials

  • Scanned signature

  • Scanned passport-size photo of self (not more than three months old)

How to Fill the KMAT 2022 Application Form?

Check the below steps to apply for the KMAT exam.

Step 1–KMAT registration

  • Visit the official website and click on 'KMAT 2022 Application' from the top menu bar.
  • Click on the 'Register Button' or copy the following link in the web browser https://kmat.azurewebsites.net/index_controller_KMAT/register#no-back-button
  • Candidates need to fill in details such as name, date of birth, e-mail, phone number, and country to register for Karnataka KMAT 2022.

  • On successful registration, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number that candidates need to enter in the space provided on the KMAT Karnataka application window.

  • Candidates will receive their application number and password on their registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 2- Login to fill out the KMAT application form 

Candidates need to log in with their KMAT credentials i.e. Application Number and Password to fill out the form. The details to be filled in the application form are:

  • Candidates must fill in their names as mentioned on their official documents.

  • Candidates must select the appropriate option irrespective of the fact whether they are or aren't residents of Karnataka state.

  • Enter the date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.

  • Select the appropriate category option, i.e., MBA or MCA.

Please Note: The candidates who are applying for two streams have to register separately for each stream. Separate hall tickets will be issued to those candidates

  • Applicants need to specify the stream/discipline in which they have obtained the graduation degree.

  • Complete postal address and other communication details should be correctly mentioned in the space provided. Candidates should write their first name in CAPITAL LETTERS only.

Step 4–Make payment

Candidates need to pay an application fee for KMAT 2022 application form using Net banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, Wallets & other online payment methods. The application fee is as under:

Mistakes to Avoid for KMAT 2022 Applications

Read below to know some of the common mistakes that should be avoided while filling out the KMAT application form:

  1. Do not press the back button or refresh the page while making the payment. The incomplete transaction will lead to an incomplete registration process.

  2. Enter the correct communication address.

  3. Do not delete e-mails and SMS mentioning the details of the KMAT registration ID and password.

  4. Ensure downloading the submitted application form and get a printout of the same for future reference.

  5. Ensure the photograph and signatures are within the set limits and dimensions. Read the instructions given before uploading the documents.

Q. Is there any concession in the KMAT application form for reserved categories?

A. The application fee for everyone is INR 850 (including GST) irrespective of the category they belong to. Candidates can only pay the application fee online using credit card, debit card and net banking. 

Q. Are the forms for MBA and MCA the same?

A. Yes, the application form for MBA and MCA courses is the same. Candidates can make a choice while filling the KMAT application form. The application forms for both the courses are available online on the official website of KMAT India. 

Q. I want to apply for MBA and MCA. Like the application form, will the hall tickets also be the same?

A. No, if the candidate is applying for two streams, they have to register for the two streams separately. Also, they will be issued two hall tickets for the two streams. The KMAT application process is an online process

Q. I am unable to upload my photograph on the application form. What should I do?

A. If you are unable to upload the images check the dimensions and the size of the photograph and digital signatures. The size of the signature image must not exceed 200 KB with the dimensions 6 cms X 3 cms and the size of the photograph must not exceed 500 kb with the dimensions 3.5 cms X 4.5 cms. 

Q. How will I know that I have successfully registered for KMAT? Will I get a confirmation?

A. After the KMAT application form has been successfully submitted along with the fee payment, candidates will receive a confirmation email and SMS on their registered email address and phone number.

Q. Is the exam fee refundable?

A. No, the exam fee is non-refundable even if you are unable to appear for the KMAT exam. If the candidate has paid twice for the same course, then, the exam fee will be refunded.

Q. Can I fill out the KMAT application form offline?

A. No, the KMAT application form is available in online mode only and can be filled out on the official website of KMAT India. There is no provision for filling the KMAT application form offline.

Q. Can I make corrections in the KMAT application form after submission?

A. No, changes cannot be made once the KMAT application form has been submitted. Candidates must carefully check the details before submitting the application form.

Q. How can I recover my KMAT password?

A. To recover the KMAT password, click on 'Forget Password'. Candidates will be redirected to a new page. Fill in the relevant details and then click 'Submit'.

Q. How many test centres can I choose for the KMAT exam?

A. Candidates can opt for only one exam centre at the time of registration. However, this year the exam will be conducted in the IBT mode, hence, they do not need to choose any exam centre.

Q. Is there any age restriction to fill out the KMAT application form?

A. Yes, the candidate applying for KMAT must be at least 21 years of age at the time of applying for the KMAT exam. 

Q. I belong to the reserved category. Do I have to fill out a different KMAT application form?

A. No, the KMAT application form is the same for all the candidates. They have to choose the category they belong to and provide the supporting documents at the time of admission. 

Q. What is the eligibility for appearing for the KMAT exam 2022?

A. Any graduate candidates with 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for reserved category) can apply for the KMAT exam 2022. Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the KMAT exam.

Q. Can I fill out the KMAT application form first and pay the application fee later?

A. No, it is not mandatory to fill out the KMAT application form and pay the application fee in one go. Candidates can pay the fee later after filling the application form. 

Q. Can I pay the KMAT registration fee by cash or Demand Draft?

A. KMAT registration fee can be paid only through debit/credit cards, Net Banking, UPI, or other wallets.

This year, the exam will be conducted in the home-based online remote proctored mode. Candidates have to apply for the KMAT 2022 exam online by filling out the online KMAT application form. KMAT Karnataka or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test KMAT is conducted by the Karnataka Post Graduate Private Colleges Association (KPPGCA) for admissions to Master of Business Administration (MBA), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) and Master of Computer Applications MCA courses. The organisation was established to provide support to professional education and facilitate and streamline the admissions to postgraduate professional courses. KMAT Karnataka was first conducted in 2003 and was born out of the need to have a unified entrance exam for the Karnataka state. More than 170 AICTE-approved MBA colleges and over 55 MCA colleges offer admissions based on scores obtained in the KMAT exam. Hope it helps.
