KMAT 2025 exam was conducted on October 25, 2025, for session 2. KMAT 2025 was conducted on September 7, 2025, for session 1. Session 2 exam was conducted on September 23, 2025, and the result was announced on November 8, 2025. The KMAT exam is conducted in the remote online proctored mode. KMAT exam date 2025 was released by KPPGCA. The KMAT Karnataka exam is conducted for admission to about 169 colleges across Karnataka. KMAT 2025: Important Events

  • KMAT registrations: KMAT registration is an online process. The KMAT exam schedule was released on website of KMAT India along with the KMAT application form. The KMAT registration form 2025 was released online for Session 1 and 2.
  • KMAT admit card release: KMAT admit cards will be issued to candidates who complete the KMAT application process and pay the KMAT application fee. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website until the day of the KMAT exam, once released.
  • KMAT exam date: KMAT is conducted once a year. The KMAT 2025 was conducted on September 7, 2025, for first session. Session 2 exam was held on October 18, 2025. The exam was conducted in a home based online proctored test mode across the country.
  • KMAT result date 2025: The KMAT result will be released online. The test takers can check their results and download the scorecard online.

KMAT Karnataka was first conducted in 2003 and was born out of the need to have a unified entrance exam for the Karnataka state. More than 170 AICTE-approved MBA colleges and over 55 MCA colleges offer admissions based on scores obtained in the KMAT exam.

KMAT 2025 was conducted in two sessions. Each session had a different registration window. KMAT 2025 registration for the Session 1 exam started on May 14, 2025, and the last date of KMAT form filling was August 20, 2025. Registration window for session 2 opened on September 16, 2025, and the last date was October 15, 2025. KMAT Karnataka exam will be held in the home-based remote proctored mode. Candidates can now take the exam from the safe environment of their homes. They do not have to choose the exam city and visit any KMAT exam centre in order to take the exams. They can fill the KMAT application form online and take the remote proctored online exam through the link given to the candidates on the exam day or as mentioned in their KMAT admit card.

The KMAT exam was earlier conducted in paper-based test mode. But due to the COVID-19 outbreak, in 2021 and 2022, the exam was conducted in internet-based test mode.

KMAT admit card 2025 download link was made live on October 22, 2025, for session 2 exam. Session 1 admit card was released on September 2, 2025. The admit card was released for the students who had registered for the KMAT Karnataka exam 2025. The admit cards can be downloaded till the exam day. The hard copy of the admit card is to be kept with the students on the day of the exam. Exam day instructions, timings, reporting time, and other details were mentioned on the KMAT admit card 2026.

KMAT 2025 admit card was released on September 2, 2025. The KMAT 2025 exam was conducted on September 7, 2025, in the internet-based remote proctored mode. 

The second session KMAT admit card 2025 was released on October 22, 2025. All those candidates who have registered for the exam will be able to download their KMAT admit card 2025 online by submitting their application number and password.

Q:   Can I appear for KMAT more than once in a year?

No, candidates cannot appear more than once for the KMAT exam. The KMAT exam is held only once a year. Candidates have to wait for the next session if they miss this year's exam. The KMAT exam is being conducted in the IBT (internet-based test or online remote proctored) mode. Based on the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test scores, students can apply for admission to various programs offered by KMAT participating colleges. The exam will only be conducted in the internet-based test mode for all the sessions. The difficulty level of the KMAT exam is usually easy and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the KMAT exam need to apply on the official website of KMAT India and fill out the KMAT application form once the application window opens. KMAT is held in about 10 test cities in the state of Karantaka, but since the exam is being held in the remote proctored mode, candidates do not have to visit the exam centre to take the exam. 

Q:   What is the KMAT exam duration?

The KMAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the KMAT exam. KMAT exam does not have any sectional time limit. This means, that the candidates can take the KMAT exam according to their preference and can switch between sections and questions as per their need. There is no provision of changing the exam slot. And there is no provision to apply for the same. Candidates have to take the KMAT exam from the safe environment of their homes as the exam will be conducted in the internet-based test mode and the candidates have to choose their slot for the exam day.
