Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Placements are above average in our college. Around 90% of students got placed in core companies. Our college provides high placements in IT companies. Only a few companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide Wi-Fi. Our labs and mess are average. Our college provides food two times a day for day scholars. The library of our college has a lot of books. Our college has a digital library. The hostel is average. Some labs are not working. Hostels are average.
Faculty: Our faculty members are friendly and caring. They focus on weak students to pass exams. Our college follows the syllabus of Anna University. The semester exams are easy to pass. Our faculty members provide important questions. The course curriculum makes us ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. Our college should focus on placements and invite many core companies. Our college conducts events like Symposiums, etc. They are held well. It organises cultural programs. Our college provides many scholarships.

I am dissatisfied with the fee structure and hostel.
Placements: Our college allows all the students to participate in placements, from below average to top students. Our course has mainly got no campus interviews, and most of the students went for research fields. Our college provides microbiology labs and research labs. Students have above 7.5 CGPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has to be developed a little. The worst food is provided in the hostel. Half-boiled rice and chicken, nasty vegetables and frozen chapatis are provided in the canteen. They do not provide snacks or coffee, and they only provide ice creams.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Practical sessions are often conducted. Industrial visits are organised. Most of the teachers are doctorates. They are very caring and try their best for the students to get placed in campus interviews. They conduct mock tests every week and train the students well before exams.
Other: I love genetics, so I picked up nothing more specific. There are no extracurricular activities conducted in our college, only a few games.

New companies don't visit here for placements. Only 75% of students get minimum salaries.
Placements: In B.Tech in biotechnology course, about 75% of admissions are occupied by girls. Around 60% of the students can get placed from this course. The highest salary package offered ranges from 1 LPA to 2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 11 LPA to 13 LPA. Biocon is the topmost company in India which visits here for placements, and also Pfizer and LifeCell from Tamil Nadu visit here. Biotech is a course, where you get jobs maximum in labs, and there is a huge scope for jobs in pharmaceutical, food control, marine, etc., fields. Professors and HOD will suggest some of the companies and labs for internships.
Infrastructure: Our campus is average compared to other engineering colleges like SSN or SRM Institute. However, labs, classrooms and library are excellent. Girls hostels are perfect and perfectly maintained compared to boys hostel. They allow one hour for studying daily, and mobile phones are strictly prohibited during my tenure. The quality of the food served is good, and every week non-vegetarian is served for 3 days, while vegetarian is served for another 3 days. The quality of the bus facility provided is excellent, and around 50 buses are provided by our college to travel to different locations. Our college is in the top position in sports like football, basketball, handball and girls cricket, but it did not support cricket yet for boys.
Faculty: Professors in our college are excellent compared to other colleges, and every professor provides the perfect notes. They will suggest us to score some good grades in the semester. You can ask them any doubt, and they are ready to clarify and also supportive. The course is of 4 years and contains a total of 7 semesters and 1 project. This course mainly focuses on labs and practicals.
Other: I have chosen this course because I love it, and there are lots of practical classes and labs. In this course, there are lots of internships and a huge scope for jobs. We will get a lot of events, inter and intra curricular events and cultural events in our college. We are allowed to visit other colleges symposium also. There are at least 2 industrial visits to companies in one semester. Sports and other extracurricular activities classes like English speaking, etc., are conducted weekly.

Review of Jeppiaar Engineering College.
Placements: I am studying B.Tech biotechnology. Many students choose this course as they like biology much and for higher studies and research. Our course placements are average. Most of our course students attend placement to work for a short time to gain knowledge in that field. About one or two top recruiting companies come to our college for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure, especially the main building, is good. Hostel infrastructure is also good. Students who know about our college and passed out students said that the food was extraordinary, but nowadays the food is only average. We have two canteens in our college to provide delicious snacks. We also have medical facilities in our college. Sports are also available here, but it is not compulsory for all students. So, interested students can join the team. We have a kabaddi and volleyball team in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They have enough knowledge to teach us, but many teachers concentrate on their syllabus only. There are also some teachers who guide and motivate us apart from studies. Most of the teachers in our course have an experience of above 5 years.
Other: Many of the engineering students would join engineering if they didn't get their preferred field. I am more interested in biology, but I am not good at maths, so I have chosen this course. It would be useful to us if we have more practical classes than theory classes, which is not possible for Anna University schedule. The best part of our college life is events, fests and cultural. Our college conducts department wise Symposium and conferences, which are open to all college students. They are not fully about studies, but it also includes dance, music, fun games, etc. We have cultural and concerts, which are joyful. For extracurricular activities, we have NCC, NSS and YRC in our college. I am an NCC cadet. Apart from college friends and other friends, this platform creates a beautiful bond named Co-cadets, and camps, parades and social activities are very good.

I am satisfied with teaching and supportive faculty members.
Placements: Biotechnology is going to increase in India in future. Yet, as of now, compared to other courses, students joining this course is very less because of their less knowledge about the course. In our college, the best course is biotechnology, and they provide many opportunities for students from the first year. Higher authorities from different foreign countries often give us a visit and explain the job opportunities and higher studies to be pursued. There are many chances for students to get placed in Infosys, Wipro, Pfizer, etc. The highest salary offered may be above Rs. 50,000 per month. Now, only a few students opted for this course because of the less knowledge about the course, and some say that there are also no job opportunities. However, there are many fruitful job opportunities. Only 10% of the students usually got placed, and also the strength is low accordingly. Biotechnicians can work in the quality control department, food technology, lab technicians, research scholars, pharma companies, IT companies, medical coding jobs, etc.
Infrastructure: The library is commendable but only when students make use of it. Many books from various disciplines are available, and even students can access books from the internet during the library session from computers. Classrooms are spacious and airy. Labs are good and sufficient, and our biotech staff members are excellent at handling lab sessions. They always make sure that every student learns techniques. Medical facilities are average. Food is average because none of the colleges can provide convincing taste to all students. Sports opportunities are appreciable if students are talented.
Faculty: In our department, all staff members are well-knowledgeable and more than sufficient. Most of them have completed their doctorate, and their teaching quality is commendable. They always try their utmost to make us understand the concepts, and they also teach us more apart from the books. They always provide us with new updates about particular subjects. They are very helpful in almost all aspects. Staff members always induce us to learn more, doing projects and to come up with innovative ideas. The course curriculum is sufficiently relevant.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my admittance in biology. There are numerous best things about our course. Students can pursue higher studies from various disciplines like food technology, animal biotechnology, medical biotechnology, agricultural technology, etc. We have never quested for events because in the semester, at least two times we enjoy various events, guest lectures, farm visits, etc. Campus surroundings are quite good. Scholarships are available accordingly.

The college is well-disciplined and it has a trained crowd.
Placements: Overall, the placement record is good. Recruitment of core profiles is poor. The college will give placement training from the 5th semester. Each company follows different criteria for selection. Both on-campus and off-campus placements are available. CSE and IT departments are given the first preference. Even other department students get placed in software companies.
Infrastructure: Each classroom can hold up to 120 students and is provided with sufficient tables and chairs. The projectors are also provided. There are separate buildings for each department with the laboratories in the same block. The main building has an auditorium, a conference hall and a library. Enough academic books and the other books are provided in the library. E-labs are provided with the Wi-Fi. Both academics and sports were given equal importance.
Faculty: There are well-experienced faculty members in each department. The syllabus will be covered within the given period, and the tests will be conducted periodically. Ther are two in-charge staff for each class. Every month, the student-teacher meeting is conducted for the further improvement. The industry exposure is less and given less importance. Only students who excel in the academics are allowed to participate in sports and the other activities.
Other: The students are allowed to do the project at any time, and the management provides all the facilities. They can use laboratories for their projects. Travelling by the college bus has been made compulsory to ensure the students are on time to the college. Similarly, the mess food is also compulsory. Certain rules are followed strictly. The communication between a boy and a girl is restricted for the discipline purpose. Mobile phones and other electronic devices are strictly not allowed. Boys should follow the neat formal dress code, girls should be well-dressed, and no funky style dresses are allowed.

Explanation for a good college .
Placements: 50 percent of students were only placed the highest is 4 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA None of the companies were top recruits Only paid internships in this college all were in higher studies for there Ph.D. Not well recruitmeted and well facilitated by the faculty.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi campus, labs were poorly infrastructure and less maintenance, library is some how decent but still not well maintained by the department. Hostel is well maintained and some how good infrastructure Canteen food is decent to some extent but worse over some days.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well knowledgeable. They are well qualified to teach and guide. Teaching quality is good but still lacks in some places like language training etc.no the curriculum will not be helpful for making us industry ready as they are not good enough .

Not so much of entertainment friendly. If ready for a monotonous life, this college is an option.
Placements: I'm from biotechnology department, not many companies are brought to campus for placement. Only one company Zifo RnD Solutions is brought. They provide an annual package of around 2.5 Lacs (as far as I know). The top recruiting company is Biocon. Internships if applied on our own interest, the college will encourage to attend.
Infrastructure: College and hostel infrastructure is good. Each room in hostel will be occupied by 5 members. Each room is provided with 2 sets of bathroom. The library is well-equipped. It is with the students to utilise the facilities. Good will be average. Ample amount of vegetables, non veg, desserts will be provided. Hostellers will be provided with healthy and sometimes taste (not so healthy) evening snacks. Medical facility is good.
Faculty: Some teachers are okay. Some are extraordinary. But all of them concentrates only on pass percentage. Enthusiastic teachers are also rendered by this to impart knowledge apart from syllabus. But if students approach the right teacher, they are more than happy to help the students to gain more knowledge. They will also assist in student's project ideas.
