With BSc degree you are eligible for majority of non technical posts in Government (Central, State, PSU, Banks etc) where eligibility criterion is graduation degree. Beside this you may able to get job of technician, lab assistant in Scientific R&D organisation. You are also eligible to do BEd and take school teacher job. Candidates who have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology with a minimum of 50% aggregate along with English as one of the subjects can apply for BSc at JIPMER Puducherry.

So yes you can apply but you have to crack the entrance test for studying in the JIPMER. If you can crack the entrance test then you can easily apply at the JIPMER.

The period of training for MD course is three completed years including the examinations  period at JIPMER Puducherry. However, for the students with a two-year PG Diploma in the same subject, the period of training shall be two years. Moreover, the institute's training procedure is designed involves learning experience for candidates around the needs of the community.

There are a total of 141 seats for the JIPMER MD course. The seats are further bifurcated among the different MD specialisations. The highest seat count is for MD in General Medicine, which is 20.
