For admission to JIPMER BSc in Nursing course, aspirants must be Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany & Zoology, and English as one of the subjects. The qualifying exam should have been passed with at least 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC; 45% aggregate for PwD category candidates). Moreover, the applicants age at the time of admission should be at least 17 years, or candidate must turn 17 on or before December 31 of the year of admission. There is not upper age limit.

With BSc degree you are eligible for majority of non technical posts in Government (Central, State, PSU, Banks etc) where eligibility criterion is graduation degree. Beside this you may able to get job of technician, lab assistant in Scientific R&D organisation. You are also eligible to do BEd and take school teacher job. In order to have better career growth you will have to do post graduation.

Tuition: The B.Sc. programs offered by JIPMER have a total tuition charge of INR 4,800, according to their website. The NEET last round closing rank for admission to the MBBS programme at the JIPMER, Puducherry was 17588. Candidates having their rank as specified by the institute cut-off list can register for the counselling round at JIPMER followed by document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.
