WBJEE took place in April 27, 2025. WBJEE test has a duration of 4 hrs where, the students have to attempt 2 papers with 1 paper having ques from Maths only while the 2nd paper has ques from both Physics & Chemistry. 

The latest information of JIS College of Engineering M.Tech placement rate is not yet available. According to JIS College of Engineering NIRF report 2023, the placement rate recorded during JIS College of Engineering M.Tech placements in 2022 was 86%. JEE Main is conducted in two sessions each year, with session 2 usually held in April. For the current cycle, NTA had announced the JEE Main Session 2 exam dates, and the exams for Paper 1 (BTech) were conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The registration for session 2 is now closed. Now, prospective candidates should wait for the announcement of JEE Mains dates for the academic batch of 2026.

JISCE WBJEE cutoff 2026 will be released soon. In the meantime, according to the JISCE WBJEE cutoff 2025 for the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 40789 to 68240 for the BTech CSE branch. Hence,   you cannot gain admission to this college with a rank of 75000 if you belong to the General AI category.

In JISCE every course is best in their domain but as far as the innovation, research and holistic studies are concerned ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) is the best engineering course. CSE and CST are also equally best as the demand is very high for these course.

MAT is conducted multiple times a year. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are conducted annually. MAT is the only exam that is conducted multiple times in four phases and multiple exam modes. To make it possible for every MBA aspirant to appear for an entrance exam, AIMA designed MAT, which can be taken by candidates from an exam center as well as at home. The exam is held in February, May, September, and December, which allows candidates to prepare and plan for it as well as for MBA admission. In each of these four months, the MAT is conducted in CBT, PBT, and IBT modes. Candidates can choose a date and a mode of exam based on their preparation and convenience. Registrations for each MAT exam phase start a month earlier. Candidates can also take re-tests in the same academic session if they are not happy with their scores.

Yes, admissions are open in JISCE for the year 2023 for all the courses, including engineering, business administration, and computer application.

Tech admissions, students must secure 45% in 10+2 in PCM and qualify for either WB-JEE or JEE Main or AMPAI. The merit list is prepared by MAKAUT for counselling. BBA and BCA admissions are offered on the basis of scores obtained in 10+2 in relevant compulsory subjects. Admissions are based upon MAKAUT Counselling.

Yes, JIS College of Engineering offers a full-time Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme in various specialisations/streams. The duration of the UG-level course is four years. Some BTech specialisations available at the college include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
