Review about Lakshmibai College, University of Delhi.

Placements: The average package in English Honours is 6 Lacs per annum and the maximum is 8 Lacs per annum. Every year, 1k+ students get placements from our college in MNCs. Currently, there are a total of 4k students in English Honours, and there are many societies in the college which you can join for exposure.

Infrastructure: If you are a student who is interested in studying and exploring new things, then this college is for you. This college doesn’t have hostel facilities and the canteen food is not quite good; there is a need to work on it. The library is quite good, and you can find numerous books in the library. It also has a research room and Wi-Fi.

Faculty: Yes, faculty members are quite good. They will help you with academic work and also take classes regularly. Rarely do the classes get canceled. If you are a student who loves to study, then this college is meant for you. Basically, semester exams are moderate to difficult for our course, and it depends on the course. .

Placement cell is not too good but faculty members are supportive. Infrastructure is good.

Placements: None of my batchmates got any placement as no placement drive has been conducted in our college. We did not got any chance to apply for an internship or anything. Delhi University is well known for its placements but it was disappointing when not even a single student in our batch got placed.

Infrastructure: Canteen food is not so delicious but it is pocket-friendly. There is a huge variety of food options but it doesn't taste good. One can opt for packaged food like chips and beverages. Mother Dairy ice cream is available within the campus. Sports and games facilities are way too good.

Faculty: As we all know, it is quite tough to score in literature, and in college getting a 6-7 CGPA is more than enough. Usually, student scores this much only. Faculty of our department is very supportive and provides us with notes and assignments from our alumni which helps us a lot.

Other: Fests are often conducted on campus and crowd is good, but sometimes film stars and Bollywood actors come for promotions. They never called any singer in our college. Scholarships and free laptops are also provided to the needed ones.

I was very satisfied with the facilities they provided in the hostel.

Placements: Students with a 60 percentile were placed in our course. The highest average is 75%, and the lowest is 40%. 75% of students got internships from my course at Reliance Industries. In my batch, all the students were able to get internships. We were very lucky. The top recruiting companies are Reliance, Tata, ITC, etc.

Infrastructure: The library is very good, with lots of books that provide us with a variety of knowledge. The quality of the hostel is very good and well maintained. They provide us with good meals and healthy food. The hostel also has a good canteen and kitchen where we could cook ourselves and eat if we wanted.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and qualified. They have a good knowledge of teaching. No it does not make the students industry ready. The semester exams were not too difficult. The pass percentage was 45%. The teachers from the university were highly educated and very much qualified. They are filled with full of knowledge.

At a basic level, our college is good situated at a good place.

Placements: I didn't think much because as far as what I have observed is that there are several societies in our college that deal with this area of placements but the overall interaction at a larger level is not seen much in our college. The exposure to get into a better placement is low.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel available in our college and library facilities are not so poor. The Wi-Fi connection is very poor. Medical facilities, sports, and games are average. The canteen which I found missing a variety of food. The department is average. The infrastructure of the college is average.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Upto a basic level, they make students industry-ready but not on a more better way. The difficulty level for the exams is not so tough and the passing percentage is 40%. The semester exams are quite easy.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in reading novels. More encouraging way of learning and environment. Seriously speaking, there are no fests, events, or these other activities in our college.

A memorable experience at LBC.

Placements: The placement doesn't have big brands on board, but they do have companies, with various profiles. Internship opportunities are pretty good, especially for a beginner, or someone who is experimenting with different domains. Overall, if you are consistent and diligent then there is a high probability of getting a good PPO.

Infrastructure: The college does not have a hostel. Though, the infrastructure of the college is improving every day. The college is trying to provide all sorts of infrastructural grounds, and moving on to digitalisation. The college library is beautiful and has a lot of required resources, which come in handy, especially for someone with a literature major.

Faculty: The faculty is very supportive and flexible. Even during online classes, teachers were reasonable and paid attention to the mental health of students. The teachers are helpful and qualified and try to provide the best critical material. The curriculum is relevant and is in touch with what a Literature graduate might be asked in the real world. The internal assessments help you prepare for externals, if you are consistent then it will be pretty chill for you.

Other: The course is a dream for any bibliophile. The college offers various extracurricular activities, and the societies are pretty active. If you can take the initiative your college life will be memorable and fun.

Interested candidates have to register online with required information.
