B.E. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024

DECENT COLLEGE in chemical engineering.
Placements: There are excellent placement opportunities available, however, there is a limited presence of core companies participating in the recruitment process. The majority of companies that visited were focused on business Development and Sales, with only Yokogwa and UHP technologies representing core chemical companies so far. There have been few placements in chemical engineering to date, but it is possible that more companies will visit in the future. It is important to note that this assessment may evolve over time.
Infrastructure: The college boasts excellent infrastructure within the main building, while the attached washrooms in the hostels are satisfactory. However, I would advise against opting for the shared washrooms in the hostels, as they are not well-maintained. The chemical engineering department is situated in the old building, meaning that we do not have the privilege of utilizing the main building for our labs and classes; instead, we have to make do with the old PU block. The hostel fees are on the higher side, yet the maintenance of the hostels leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, the library has limited hours of operation, closing at 4 pm, which restricts students' access to its resources after this time.
Faculty: The faculty consistently offers us their support, however, the outdated labs, particularly in mass transfers/process control, hinder our progress as most equipment is non-functional. Unfortunately, the chemical engineering department is often overlooked in this regard, resulting in a standstill in our exposure to various types of equipment.
Other: I enrolled in chemical engineering with high hopes, but honestly, I find MVJ to be a less than ideal option for pursuing this field. My experience can be described as average at best.

Last year, only two companies visited the campus, and this year, there were no companies for the chemical engineers, So, don't expect a placement from here.

Dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: 2% of students have got an opportunity for internship cum job offer in Ion Exchange India limited as Proposal engineer. 2.6 Lacs per annum CTC was offered. There are many recruiting companies but we have got only one single core company that came for placements.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the entire college accounts to a 5 star. But the Chemical dept. is old. Ample equipped labs as per VTU syllabi. Canteen food is average, library is greatly appreciable for the digital library availability. Medical facilities not very reliable because they aren't available all the time. I remember wandering around the entire college in search of the medical room for a band aid and to this day I don't know where the room is.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. VTU syllabus is not everything that is required. For one to be industry ready, more efforts are to be made by the college to make us industry ready. More Chemical Engineering related software and faculty members who have mastered the basics of these software is something that is missing.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements, infrastructures etc.
Placements: 60% of the students were placed. The course has the highest package of 1 Lacs and the lowest of 11000 and average is 50000. The top recruiters were Ionexchange etc. 50% of internships were provided by the college and most of the students did internship themselves. Many roles are offered in the course.
Infrastructure: The facilities are provided by the college. Wi-Fi are slow, labs have provided with equipment, classrooms are provided with projectors, the library has many facilities. Food quality is average. Facilities in the hostel are average. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. In academics, they help very much and provide us good knowledge. Good teaching quality. This course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry ready and helpful for future studies too.

Good teaching quality, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Till now 2 students are selected for internship. Only one core company came till now with a 2.6 lacs package. Till now only ION EXCHANGE INDIA LIMITED came which is partially core company with a scope in design and sales field.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are comfortable and labs are spacious and have enough equipments. Wi-Fi available inside hostels with limited data and inside library digilab is there. Quality of food is average. Only one field is there for all the sports and a gym is there where you have to pay for one sem at a time. College doesn't encourage for intercollegiate sports programs.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and experienced. All of them are really helpful and friendly to all students. Always encourage and motivate for extracurricular activities. Teaching quality is really good. Exams are mostly theory based so at the end students are not at all industry ready.
Other: Events are tech based. Not encouraging cultural programs and sports.

It is the best place to learn, study and enjoy. Teachers motivate students a lot.
Placements: Most of the students have been placed in different companies which includes core companies and IT companies and marketing companies. The lowest package is 2.5 Lacs per annum. Most of the students have got paid internship in the petroleum industries.
Infrastructure: The college wi-fi is very fast. Labs are well equipped for the experimentation. The classrooms are properly furnished, the library is filled with books for every branch. The quality of food is good and it is also hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful they always support our ideas and help us in developing those ideas. They train each student for placement and make the students ready for industrial work. They are very knowledgeable and they have done their Ph.D. and they share better ideas with students.

I am highly satisfied with college.
Placements: I am a chemical engineering student of batch 2016-2020. Almost 60% of the students are placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA. About 95% of the students got an internship from our course in many reputed companies. The top recruiting company is Ion Exchange.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good, and the campus is lush green. Labs all well-equipped, and classrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The library has all the prescribed textbooks for our course. Quality of food available in the canteen is excellent, and there is 24x7 availability of a doctor in the clinic inside the college. Sports and games are the implications part of the curriculum.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, friendly, well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are always approachable to clarify any doubts. Teaching quality is clear and effective. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.
