The basic eligibility requirement is BCA/ BSc Computer Science/ IT from a recognised institute with 50% aggregate marks. The university provides direct admissions to the course based on merit. This course is offered in two streams of Science and Management. Admission to MIT Pune MCA course is entrance-based. In order to get admission at Manipal Institute of Technology for BTech the candidate need to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The candidate have to complete Class 12 with 50% aggregate with Science stream. However, for BTech Lateral Entry should complete 3-year Diploma (respective Engineering stream) granted by the State Board of Technical Examination with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent. On the other hand, should pass in BSc Degree, with Mathematics in 12 standard, from a recognised University with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent.

To download the Karntaka PGCET admit card candidates have to use Karnataka PGCET registration number and password. MIT MAHE accepts national-level exams for admission to its courses. The institute accepts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) and GATE for admission to various UG and PG courses.

For the first year, an incoming Manipal Institute of Technology BTech student pays INR 4,58,000 as an installment fee, combined with the standard security deposit.

Total course fee for CSE, Mathematics and Computing, and Computer Science and Financial Technology is fixed at INR 24,42,000. At the time of admission, students must pay a first-installment total of INR 6,18,000 + a refundable INR 10,000 caution deposit. The remaining course balances are split across subsequent annual installments.
