Q:   What is unique about Sri Venkateswara College?
15thumbs up
A:
The focus on holistic education is one of the characteristics that make Sri Venkateswara College unique. In the College's opinion, education should be more than academic training; it also needs to focus on self-development and character building. To that end, the school offers a range of opportunities for students to participate in various activities and events such as service work or outreach. If you're are sports enthusiast then this college is definitely for you, from cricket to football, badminton, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis it has everything you can think of. Not only sports but it does also consists of dance societies, music societies etc. Some teachers in the faculty also dedicate much time in equipping students with practical knowledge as well, creating a perfect balance between theoretical and practical knowledge. Let me get you with a better view on this point, one of our teachers in commerce faculty helped all of us connecting with some of her past students who were placed in good companies such as google, Delloite, KPMG such face-to-face interactions which also includes Q&A session is definitely a pool of knowledge for all current students. So, yes these were some unique points about Sri Venkateswara College which definitely make it stand out from the crowd. Hope you liked it, Thanks.

A:
I've never tasted the food in mess but according to some of my friends who used have access to Venky's mess said that, most of the time the food was good and hygienic but sometimes it may be annoying to eat same meal multiple times in a week. But I think that's how college life is you've to sacrifice your taste and comfort you used to get earlier in your home.

The only itinerary you will need for Venkateswara College.
Placements: The overall percentage of students who get placed is about 21%. It is among those eligible to sit for placements after completing the minimum CGPA criteria. The companies that usually come for recruitment are Big 4, Oxane Partners, Google, DE Shaw, etc. The roles for which these companies come are usually related to tax, audit, financial advisory, etc. The placement statistics are not up to the mark, but they can still be considered decent because of the goodwill the college name itself holds. These companies usually do not have specific course-wise offers. The recruitment process is generally the same for all.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty solid. Though it is old, it has plenty of space, and most importantly, the food at the canteen and Maggi Point is goated. The Wi-Fi connectivity is decent, I would say. Labs are well-equipped and well-maintained as well. We have a good two-floor library building. It also includes separate reading room spaces for teachers and students. It is fully air-conditioned, which is the best part during summers. For winters, we have a big ground to get ample sunlight in the cold.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very serious about the subjects they teach, so there is very little chance of classes getting cancelled. It rarely happens. In terms of quality, I would give them a solid 9/10. The course curriculum is pretty theoretical. It needs more practical exposure, to be honest, as we are in the new age of AI, where we are supposed to rapidly learn and evolve ourselves to stay relevant. The semester exams are very easy. You need to do the PYQs, and you are good to go. It is very easy to score.
Other: The course provides me with an opportunity to study AI because, at the end of the day, AI is based on the fundamentals of mathematics. Combining this with coding and the basics of AI/ML can easily make me industry-relevant. The fest is the best part about our college, something we can brag about, because it is the best fest among all DU colleges and sometimes even better than DTU and NSUT as well.

Overall good experience.
Placements: Around 40 percent of the students got placed. The highest package is 15 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA-5 LPA. Brain Capability Network & Nation with Namo being the top recruiting companies. The roles offered are auditing, sales, consulting, and risk management.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The classrooms are well furnished, labs are well maintained, and the library has a decent reading room available, with ample reading space. The food offered is decent, and it has its own medical room. The sports ground is also well maintained.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-knowledgeable. The curriculum is not so relevant as per the industry standards and definitely needs a lot of improvements. The end-semester examinations are moderately difficult but can be prepared through past year questions.

An unforgettable journey.
Placements: While I personally didn't sit for placements, many of my friends and peers did. Many companies like Deloitte, KPMG, Varcity, RSN, Brain, and others recruited B.Com students. These were mainly finance, sales, and marketing-related starter roles. The average package offered to my friends was around 4–5 LPA. Some students receiving packages of up to 10 LPA. There was a noticeable downturn in the number of companies turning up compared to previous years. Some incidents led to the blacklisting of our college by prominent companies.
Infrastructure: Compared to many other colleges, the infrastructure for our course is average. It is not anything special, but also not lacking. The classrooms lack basic infrastructure, including AC and proper benches. However, the cleaning staff is nice and diligent. I didn't avail myself of hostel facilities, but I heard they were decent.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable about their subjects. They provide insights whenever needed. However, the course has many elements that, according to me, are unnecessary and burden both students and faculty, showing the drawbacks of NEP more than other factors. Exams are moderate, although the checking sometimes raises doubts, with a high pass percentage. The course provides knowledge but does not always make students industry-ready, often requiring additional qualifications.
Other: I chose B.Com because it complements my pursuit of CA, with many subjects having similar elements. The course provides a broad overview of knowledge related to various career fields. It gives students a starting point. I would like to see more practical and industry-relevant knowledge, along with better optional courses. The college event Nexus is one of my highlights from college and an unforgettable memory, being one of the best college fests in DU. The campus crowd is great and allows students to meet amazing people and make friends.

The college is moderately good.
Placements: The average salary package for Statistics Honors ranges from 5–7 LPA. About 60–80% of students are recruited by companies such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Accenture, and PwC. Statistics Honors students receive about 8–15 offers for analytical and corporate roles.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are available. It includes statistics labs, ITC labs, classrooms, and a library with a wide selection of books for the course. Wi-Fi is available throughout the college. The quality of food available in the canteen is fine. Sports and games facilities, including grounds and nets, are also widely available.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are well-versed and teach well. Others, however, are not great at teaching. Overall, the teaching is just fine. The course curriculum is relevant but is not quite enough to make students industry-ready. It is less application-based and more focused on derivations, which should be the opposite. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty, with a high pass percentage.

All about Sri Venkateswara College and South Campus.
Placements: Overall, it is a very good college. You have to study hard to get into this college. After that, everything is really easy-going and happening. The companies recruiting are also good. You can get placements from the campus itself if you are in a good position in your batch.
Infrastructure: The college was built years ago, and that is reflected in the campus buildings. Currently, the classrooms do not have AC, but that is now changing as the college is installing ACs in the rooms this year. However, the fees have increased a little. Overall, it is a good campus.
Faculty: The teaching staff is mostly from South India, so they may have difficulty speaking fluent Hindi, and their English accent can be a bit confusing. However, they are not rude. Some of them are, but around 90% are helpful, while a few do not care much.
Other: The Nexus is the best fest.

Great bunch of intellectual peers, good crowd, great campus, and a delicious Maggi point spot.
Placements: I have heard that a huge number of students from our college got placed and many reputed companies come for hiring students. Companies like Brain, Deloitte, etc., have also come to our college. Although I'm not exactly sure about all the companies and the percentage of students placed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good if we talk about classrooms. It's not special but it's adequate according to a government-run university. The great part is the college has greenery all around and is greatly breathable. Although some classes need improvement, it delivers satisfactory service. The canteen and library are also in great condition. The only suggestion is that the library should have more seating capacity.
Faculty: I have had great interaction with the professors of my course. They are helpful throughout the course and are also available on either text messages or calls. The attitude and approach of all the teachers are adequate, which a student expects from their mentors. Talking about the semester exams, one needs to be through with previous years' question papers and have an adequate learning of their course and subjects. Delhi University colleges often follow past-year question trends, but also one needs to study properly for the subject they have chosen.
Other: Our college has many vibrant societies and clubs which not only give knowledge in different spheres to students but also expose them to different events and activities happening all around Delhi and help in networking with a bunch of like-minded peers. Also our campus is beautiful structured and has metro it's beside only which makes connectivity more.

On Cutoffs
Q:   Is a CUET score of 280 good for admission to B.A. (Hons) Pol Science at Sri Venkateswara College?
A:

Sri Venkateswara College, which is located on the south campus of Delhi University, has quite a good reputation among students, and hence, closing ranks or scores of CUET for admission are quite high. For different courses, depending on the priority of the students, the score varies from, say, 508 to 754. With each passing year, this score is only likely to increase rather than decrease, and hence, a student with just about 280 as a score in CUET has almost no chances of getting admission in this prestigious college of the Delhi University.

Q:   What is the CUET score for B.Sc Sri Venkateswara College?
A:

The CUET score for B.Sc Sri Venkateswara College varies depending on the course and category of the candidate. The overall cutoff for CUET ranges from 528 to 784 marks. The cutoff marks for the general category in CUET 2022 were 744-760. Sri Venkateswara College accepts CUET scores for admission to its undergraduate courses, including B.Sc. Good percentile to secure admission to Sri Venkateswara College of Delhi University through CUET 2023 is around 98 to 99 percentile.

A:

Sri Venkateswara College DU BA admission is entrance-based for the year 2024 as candidates seeking admission to the BA at Sri Venkateswara College DU are required to appear for the CUET. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for admission to the BA and BA (Hons) programmes.

Q:   What is the desired CUET range to get into Sri Venkateswara College for M.A. English?
A:

Candidates aiming for MA courses must score 190-215 in the CUET PG examination and 190-210 out of 300 for M.Sc admission at Sri Venkateswara College. Candidates can check the Sri Venkateswara College expected CUET PG 2024 for MA English courses in the table below:

General  200-215
