Top recruiters do not prefer the ICE branch as most have not heard of it, But still, companies like Samsung, SCB, Amazon can allow sitting for placements.

It has a big green campus with good classrooms. Placements are good.
Placements: The placement record of NIT Jalandhar is good. Approximately 90% of eligible students got placed. The top recruiting companies are Amazon and Google. More than half of the students got internships in top companies. Roles offered are as a web developer, cloud manager, and cybersecurity engineer.
Infrastructure: There is a separate building for the CSE branch in the college. Many options are available in the college for food and snacks if you do not enjoy the hostel meal. The buildings are new, well-maintained, and contain lifts. For every course, there are separate labs, and the instruments in the labs are new. There is a slight problem that the hostel rooms for two are very small, but every room contains a balcony, and the view from the balcony is good. The food in the hostel is average. Sometimes it is very good, and sometimes it is okay.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and have excellent knowledge with good teaching quality. There is a separate building for the CSE branch in the college. The buildings are new, well-maintained, and contain lifts. For every course, there are separate labs, and the instruments in the labs are new.

The placements are getting better year by year. The college life is also awesome.
Placements: The placement percentage is 100 percent for the eligible students, however, the numbers are not that good. The highest placement package on campus is 18 LPA for the branch Industrial and Production Engineering. The lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average is 8–9 LPA. The top recruiting company is Trident. The top roles that are offered are basically in the research and development department, but one can also excel in other fields by having good knowledge and practice for that particular field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is awesome, simply mind-blowing. There are no issues regarding the infrastructure of classrooms, library, etc. However, the infrastructure of hostels for first-year students is not that good. The hostels are very basic, they provide one bed and a chair-table for one person and a cupboard/almirah for clothes. The quality of food is decent; the chapattis are very bad to eat, but the other items and menu rotation are good. The canteen of our college is average, not great in taste, however, Domino’s and Nescafe provide great taste and quality of food.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and helpful, and their way of teaching is also good. If we exclude some of the faculty members, then we can say that teaching quality is good overall. The curriculum of the course is relevant and makes the student industry-ready. The semester exams are tough; students have to work hard to pass the semester exams with good grades. Otherwise, the copy checking is a bit strict, which doesn’t give easy marks to students.

Core placements are not satisfying, but everything else is top notch. Sports and cultural.
Placements: Placements in the civil department are not very good. You receive fewer core opportunities on campus, but there is scope in non-core roles. People do get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA, and the highest goes up to 20 LPA, which is in tech. You have to prepare for placements yourself. The college curriculum does not help much here.
Infrastructure: The department building has all the facilities needed. You can reach out to any faculty member for help, as they are really friendly. Hostels are decent, and the mess food is good enough. First-year hostels have a badminton court and a volleyball court. There are three boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostels for first-year students.
Faculty: Faculty members are really great. They are highly qualified professionals with several years of experience. They are mostly approachable. The curriculum of the course is decently hard. You can pass the exam only after studying properly. You need to know what is in the syllabus; otherwise, you will fail. Practical labs are all working and in good condition.
Other: Events are held regularly on campus, where regional celebrities are invited occasionally. The fest is also good; you will experience it yourself.

Average placements, average peers and value for money.
Placements: The placements in textiles are average. Only the top 4 to 5 students get placed at around 18 LPA at Trident. The rest opt for tech off campus placement/on campus placements. Meanwhile in the core the placement is only in Trident whose work culture is also not considered good.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay. Library is very nice with good air conditioning. Wi-Fi is not good all over the institute. The quality of food in the mess is okay but in the canteen certain food items are very low. Medical facilities are nice with despansary having doctors 24/7 and free care. Sports grounds are not okay except for badminton and basketball.
Faculty: The faculty is good except for some new faculty members. Courses are also pretty decent with advancements being also introduced but they do not make students industry ready much. Semester exams are difficult and cannot be passed if studying overnight, the pass percentage varies from 40 to 90 percent.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it is not that hectic. Events in the college are average.

One of the best NITs in North India.
Placements: Right now no batch is completed in this course as it is a new course but as soon as the batch is completed, placement will be arranged and the data will be provided by the college. An optimal expectations about 30 to 40k per month is accepted for such a prestigious institution.
Infrastructure: NIT Jalandhar boasts a well developed infrastructure with a great hostel and academic infrastructure. Hostel facilities are very good with good room food and very good washrooms. Free Wi-Fi is also available in entire campus and the research equipment is also very good.
Faculty: NIT Jalandhar has experienced and a very qualified faculty which also includes a well established curriculum with all topics well explained and well delivered with very little discrepancy. All of the teachers are very helpful and the assistant also helps you pass your exams.

It solely depends upon you.
Placements: It is not as bad as you might have heard. This course is actually not placement-oriented; it is research-oriented, mostly for higher studies. If you want, you could still try for placements as few students apply for them because most of them pursue higher studies and research. Still, if you have interest in this course, you could choose it. There have been many GATE rankers too from our institute, so it is also a great option. It is quite interesting indeed, at least for me.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is okay. It sometimes stops working on its own, but the infrastructure and exposure are quite good. There are 4 or 5 canteens. There is a place for indoor games and a quite big ground for outdoor games too if you are interested, a basketball ground, a tennis court (outdoor one is being built right now), but still it is quite good, I think.
Faculty: Some teachers are syllabus-oriented, some actually want you to learn something. If I say the faculty is great and quite helpful, it is true. Faculty try their best in their own way, but it depends on you the most. You should also explore on your own to find the options you have. Try to understand rather than cramming; then the semester exams won’t seem difficult, otherwise they will.
