The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), located in Mysore, was established in 1946. The institute is recognised by the AICTE and got autonomous status from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi in 2007. In addition to this, the institute is also accredited by the NAAC. local placement is decent, teaching is decent, overall exposure/brand is Not as Esteem-able as BMSCE/MSRIT/Amrita.
