Placements are great. Infrastructure is decent. Mess food is average. Fests are below average.
Placements: Placements are great on paper, but the records include off-campus placements. As per the 4th-year seniors, the placements are much better than at other NITs. You will get to this rank. So if you are focused on placements, then you can join this college.
Infrastructure: The first-year hostel is great. It is newly built. It is a 2-seater hostel. The hostels for other years might feel old and in poor condition, but they are the same as other hostels in India, and they are single-seater. The lecture hall is great. The mess food is bad. For girls, they have built a new hostel, which we do not know if they will allot to first years or not.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, but you will not understand anything in class. The exams are of decent difficulty, but the checking of copies is lenient. The branch is a hill. You will get Alok sir, who does not take more than 5 classes in the entire semester.
Other: Electrical Engineering is the most popular branch in this college. You have to address seniors as Sir and Ma'am. There is no ragging culture here, but they ask you to give your introduction in the correct format. If you are not able to give it in the correct format, they make you repeat your intro. So some people might find this culture toxic. Many fests are organised here, but do not keep your expectations too high, since they are not great. The college lacks a few facilities, such as a good gym, auditorium, hockey ground, etc.

Absolutely good placements.
Placements: Placement of our college is very good, and Jamshedpur is famous for placement. In our branches, the maximum package is 20 LPA, and the average package is approximately 8 LPA. Approximately, the percentage of placement is above 95 percent. Many of the student goes for further studies and government job preparation. Internship opportunities are available to students from their second or third year. Many of the companies provide internships to the students according to their branches. Many students get internships in our colleges, and also many students get internships off campus.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is only one gym, which is very small in size. The gym in our college just opened this year in August. Also, there is one cafeteria in our college, and the price is reasonable for the food. The library in our college is the only one. The library opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 9:00 PM. The hostel timing for boys is approximately 11:00 PM, and for girls is 9:00 PM. Wi-Fi all over the campus with CCTV security. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is good, it is nearly up to 8:1. Approaching the faculty members is very easy, as they are supportive. All the faculty members are good, so we cannot take the names. There are two exams, mid-semester and the end-semester. They are a little bit tough, the curriculum is also relevant when it comes to the core branches, and it is somewhat non-relevant for the tech branches.

Very good college, infrastructure, and placements.
Placements: From the 7th semester, only top companies start visiting the campus. All top IT companies visit the college. The CSE branch has an average of 27 LPA with around 95 percent placements. The core branch also has very good placements. The MME branch and the PIE branch have the best placements compared to all NITs. I am preparing for UPSC ESE. On average, around 97 percent of students get placed. The lowest package is 6.5 LPA and the highest is 82.5 LPA, which Atlassian offered to 5 students of CSE, ECE, and EE.
Infrastructure: Hostels are allotted to each student in the college. For the first year, a single room is shared with 2 students, while in the second year onward, a single room is allotted to single students. The mess food quality is not so good. The library is full of books and books. You'll get newspapers and magazines too, and there is a Hindi sahitya section in the library which is full of golden Hindi literature books. The classroom is very high-tech and air-conditioned. They have whiteboards and a green board, projectors, and a podium equipped with a mic. Many sports events here, like cricket, football, Premier League, badminton, etc., are conducted.
Faculty: There are literally many faculty members. I don't exactly know the faculty-to-student ratio, but I have heard it's around 1:15 or something like that. All faculty members are friendly here and not that strict. Proff. A. K Choudhary sir is a superb faculty member of Geotechnical Engineering. The curriculum and the textbooks are just the same as those followed in all top IITs and NITs. The teaching style is the same, but it's more on the older way of teaching side. Exams happen twice each semester, named mid-semester examination carrying 30 marks, then end-semester exams carrying 50 marks.

NIT Jamshedpur College review.
Placements: In the institute, almost 90% of students get placed in four companies and nearly 100% in non-teaching roles. The highest package is 82 LPA, the average is 22 LPA, and the lowest is 10 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, and L&T. Around 72–80% of the jobs offered are sales roles.
Infrastructure: Our department has very good facilities. There is Wi-Fi, the lab equipment is in great condition, and classrooms are clean, spacious, and have projectors. The library is huge with over 2 lakh books. The medical and sports facilities are excellent. The hostels may be a bit old and not ideal for second-year students, but they are fine for others. The only drawback is the food in the mess, which I would rate 2 out of 5.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and always willing to help. They communicate well. The curriculum focuses on preparing students for jobs. The semester exams can be a little tough, but the high pass rate shows that the course is well-structured. Overall, faculty members are good and approachable.

Infrastructure: Even though the overall infrastructure is just average, the campus Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, comfortable classrooms, and large library make a big difference. Since the library has so many books, students don’t need to spend much on outside materials. There are transport facilities and on-campus housing too. The mess is clean, and the food is decent, but it could use a few more favourites.
Faculty: Faculty and staff do their jobs well. First-year classes feel similar to high school, which makes shifting to college easier. The yearly tests are not very difficult. The college also appreciates top performers and recognizes their achievements.

Placements: The best thing about this college is placement. Metallurgy and Production is having almost 100 percent placement. Civil's placement is also good as compared to other NITs. Core branches here are too strong. If your priority is placement, then go for this college blindly.
Infrastructure: The lecture hall is good, and each classroom is equipped with air conditioning. Other buildings are not that great, but the boys' hostel for 1st year is the best, newly built, and can be considered as one of the best hostels among NITs.
Faculty: Faculty at NIT Jamshedpur are well-qualified and helpful, with strong academic and research backgrounds. Teaching quality is good and focuses on practical understanding. The curriculum is industry-relevant, updated regularly, and promotes technical skills. Exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is around 85–90 percent.
