NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, NIT Meghalaya ranks #83 under the category 'Engineering'.
A few more updates are given below:
- The IIT JAM 2026 first admission list will be released on May 25, 2026, for admission to the MSc course.
- The CSAB Special Counselling 2025 Round 3 has concluded with the announcement of the seat allotment results for admission to BE/BTech courses.
- The GATE CCMT 2026 counselling registration for admission to the MTech course is ongoing, with the last date for the same being Jun 5, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses.
- The GATE CCMN 2026 counselling registrations have started for admission to the MSc course. The deadline for the same is Jun 5, 2026.

Getting into MSc Meghalaya is not that tough, if candidates work hard and follow the complete admission process of NIT Meghalaya they might end up getting admissio. Read carefully the completed admission process of NT Meghalaya’s MSc programme:
- Candidates must have a bachelor’a degree in BSc with 60% aggregate
- Must qualify the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT Jam) with a valid score
- Register for seat allocation through the Centralized Counselling for MSc (CCMN)
- If candidates couldn't secure seat via CCMN, they can register themselves in the institutiin based process for the left over seats.
The 2023 cutoff for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 25978, which was the least competetive specialisations offered by NIT Nagaland. The cutoff for the year 2022 was 17921 and for the year 2021 it was 24041. As per the date it concludes that cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years, which indicates the rise in demand of the CSE course.
NIT Meghalaya conducts its own application process for PhD and M.Tech (Sponosred) prorammes, where candidates must pay an non-refundable application fee.

NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th of September 2015. As per the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for M.Tech ranged between 356 and 424, among which CSE was the most competitive specialisation. MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN Counselling 2023 for the three specialisations was concluded after Round 5. The CCMN R1 (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 1746, in Mathematics it was 1475, and finally in Chemistry it was 1539 for 2023. The highest rank was in Physics, which indicates a very tough competition for the particular specialisations compare to other.
MSc seat allocation for MSc is done via the CCMN counselling. Candidates must participate in the CCMN counselling where they release cutoff for selection of students. The CCMN Counselling 2023 for the three specialisations was concluded after Round 5. The CCMN Last Round (Closing Rank) in Physics stood at 2417, in Mathematics it was 2462, and finally in Chemistry it was 2150.
For admission in B.Tech mechanical engineering you have to clear JEE. The cuttoff varies as per the year in the year 22 batch they got at 95 even (general) if you are from categories like OBC/sc/st it vary even up to 90/87/85. As in the same pattern, the cuttoff for female candidate is different.
Admission requirements can vary from year to year and depend on various factors like students appering inJEEand no of seats avilable in collages. Few other factors like candidates droping from the college.
The NIT Meghalaya GATE Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1. The Cutoff scores ranged between 352 and 492. The most competitive course was CSE among all.
