The XAT registration process 2026 is now open for MBA/PGDM courses. The last date to register is Dec 5, 2025. Furthermore, the XAT 2026 exam will be held on Jan 4, 2026.
The GATE 2026 registrations are now over for admission to ME/Mtech and PhD courses. The GATE 2026 exam will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.

NIT Mizoram Admission Process 2025

NIT Mizoram admission to its UG, PG, and doctoral programmes is offered on the basis of national-level entrance exams. The college provides a wide range of UG, PG and Doctoral-level courses in the field of Engineering through nine departments. NIT Mizoram also hosts a Social Science and Humanities department which offers only doctoral-level degrees. Students can opt for any one of the BTech streams depending on their JEE Main scores. Steps for NIT Mizoram Admission Process 2025

The NIT Mizoram admission process is different for every course. The procedure includes registration, selection rounds, cutoff, merit list release, and counselling.

Step 1: NIT Mizoram Application Process 2025

For admission to NIT Mizoram, candidates must complete the application process of the course-specific entrance test. Aspirants have to visit the respective exam conducting body's official website to apply. For NIT Mizoram PhD course admission, candidates must visit the institute's official website (nitp.ac.in) to apply.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

For its flagship BTech course, the NIT Mizoram admission process is based on merit in JEE Main score followed by JoSAA Counselling. In addition, admission to MTech is through GATE, followed by CCMT Counselling. Admission through centralised counselling is carried out for MPlan and MArch through CCMT counselling.

Step 3: Release of Cutoff list, Counselling

A course-wise merit list is released to indicate the minimum marks required for admission. The shortlisted candidates then have to take part in the respective counselling process, such as JoSAA for BTech, CCMT for MTech, and CCMN for MSc.

NIT is enough. Good placements, and this college is improving time by time.

Placements: This year, the campus selection percentage is 86%, with the highest package at 33 LPA and an average package of 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Tata, Wipro, Mahindra, Adani, Vedanta, Deloitte, Ashok Leyland, Juspay, and Larsen and Toubro, and almost 90% of students get internships at top IITs, Microsoft, Central Railway, Airport, and BSI.

Infrastructure: Although we don't have a proper campus, there are different blocks for every branch. The hostel infrastructure is really good, and every morning you get a mountain view. Proper food and security are provided. We have well-equipped labs, a central library, digital classrooms, and reliable internet connection. There are canteens in both the hostel and college, and proper hygiene is maintained. However, sports facilities are not available.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They teach at an average level, but they are helpful. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are tough, but since the students are NITians, 90% of them pass.

Other: As my branch is ECE, I can get both software and hardware jobs. We have freshers, cultural fest, tech fest, Durga Puja celebration, and Holi celebrations. We also get scholarships. From time to time, some competitions are held. We have a sports fest too. Our college also represents in inter-NIT sports.

How life goes in NIT Mizoram.

Placements: Last year, more than 90 percent of students were placed. Right now, the highest package is 21 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package is 9 LPA. Our top recruiting companies are Juspay, Vedanta, Adani Wilmar, etc. Many of our students get internships in companies and colleges like BIS, NTPC, NITs, and IITs.

Infrastructure: To be honest, our college doesn't have a campus, but we have proper labs, classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a library. Hostel facilities are good, with good maintenance. Geysers, fans, and beds are provided by the college. The food quality is good, but the taste is average. There is a medical help center that every student can access. Our college also encourages students to participate in sports events like Inter NITs and conducts a sports fest every year.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and teach very good. They are knowledgeable and always ready to clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant to our department, blending Mathematics, Physics, and Material Science very well. Exams in our department are not so difficult, and almost every student is able to pass, except for very few students. Around 90 percent of students pass exams.

Bad college, but good nature.

Placements: 100 percent placement rate is present in our campus because there are fewer members, and they all are placed. 29 Lacs is the highest, and 8 is the lowest. Google is mostly visited by companies. 70 percent of interns are from our college. In our college, the highest package has increased now, and the skills we get here are very well enough for the interview, placements, and communication skills are also taught here.

Infrastructure: Very bad quality of food is available here in the mess. Wi-Fi is too slow in Aizawl; the network connection is very bad at times. The climate is also challenging here in Aizawl. Classrooms have no fans and are very uneasy to sit in. The library is quite large; we can get any type of book there, but we have to reenter it monthly. If extended, we have to pay money for compensation. Labs are quite good and decent and can be very useful to us. All the equipment is present in the labs; we can do any work without any delay.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful. It is difficult to pass the semester exams. Teachers explain topics very clearly in a good manner. Semester and mid exams are very strict, with very strict invigilation. If any person is found to have cheated, they are terminated from all the exams. Here, there is a curriculum, and we celebrate in our hall with a very good atmosphere.

Other: Very bad infrastructure is there in the college, and it can get a small crowd in the college. There is no permanent campus for us, and on one side, there is a campus and on the other side, there is a hostel. The mess we eat in is in 2 places: in the hostel and in the college.

Placements: I am currently pursuing B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing. Students get placed in my course. The highest package is 46 LPA, and the lowest package is 9.7 LPA. The average package is 15.3 LPA.

Infrastructure: There are separate hostels for both boys and girls with good security and 24x7 Wi-Fi. It has clean and spacious rooms either single or shared with necessary furniture. The water environment is peaceful, making it ideal for students. The mess is also good. It has high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus.

Other: The campus has a diverse student community from different states of India. It has supportive faculty members and seniors who help juniors in academics and projects.

Review of NIT Mizoram college.

Placements: In my course, who is taking part in placement, they are placed 100%; it is not very good for placement and the average package of my branch is 8 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS , MAHINDRA MOTORES, L&T, ADODE, DELOITTE, etc. The faculty is average.

Infrastructure: For first-year students, the hostel is not much good, the food is also not much good and the Wi-Fi is average. In my college, sports and games facilities are not available and the college and hostel are about 4 km far from each other and the college is divided into different blocks and they are also far from each other.

Faculty: Teachers are average, class is average, teaching quality is average and semester exams are too difficult and from this year relative marking is doing a pass percentage of about 70%, making students industry-ready. Extracurriculars are not good in this college.
