If you want NIT tag then come otherwise not.

Placements: Placement in Mechanical Engineering is good on average. If you are in NIT Mizoram, then go for Mechanical Engineering because you get on-campus placement in Mechanical Engineering. I think it is good for placement and overall best. Go for Mechanical in NIT Mizoram. Best of luck.

Infrastructure: It's not that good in infrastructure because NIT Mizoram has no permanent campus and no own building. There isn't even a temporary campus here. But if you want the NIT tag, then it's good. The hostel is not that good in terms of facilities, but for living purposes, you can adjust.

Faculty: All faculty are very educated, and you know also that if you are admitted to NIT, then don't worry about faculty qualifications. Everything is good here, but in exams, all faculty are very strict about the examination. There are no cheating techniques; you need to study if you want a good CGPA.

Other: No fest and event.

The main drawback is there is no campus and ground for students.

Placements: In our college, 100% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, the average is 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. I have no idea about the recruiting companies but they are not top companies. I’m not aware of internships but all students are getting internship.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the National Institute of Technology is good. Library and labs are good. Hostel is average. Sports and games are quite tough.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, educated, and brilliant there's no doubt about it. Their way of teaching is mind-blowing. They are also helpful. Exams are really tough and up to the mark. We have completed mid-semester exams but not final semester exams.

Other: Mechanical Engineering is best here. There aren't many events held in our college, but if the event is held it is enjoyable.

Average college life and placement.

Placements: Almost 90% of students from the Mechanical Engineering department were placed, with an average package of 7 LPA. Top recruiters like Adobe, Deloitte, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, and IBM visit the campus. The highest package is 14.50 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Students also pursue internships.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are digitalized, and Wi-Fi speed is average. Hostel food is not good. The sports facility is lacking as the college doesn't have its own campus, so good sports infrastructure cannot be expected. Books can be accessed from the library or online.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and students can clear their doubts in class. Semester exams are not very difficult, and students can pass easily if they don't have any backlogs. A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory. Teachers are capable of making students industry-ready if they engage well with them.

Review of National Institute of Technology, Mizoram

Placements: In the last two years, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering (core branches) have had 100 % placement with an average salary of 8.4 LPA in 2022 and 9.8 LPA in 2023. Placements are increasing year by year. The faculties are good, but NIT Mizoram does not have a private campus; it is running on rented buildings.

Infrastructure: Faculties are good, helping nature and have a good understanding of students’ lives. Teaching style is also different from other casual colleges. Medical facilities are also available in the college. Nit has its own ambulance service. The college does not have its own campus . Wi-Fi is not that good because of the altitude area. The library is better than I thought.

Faculty: Exams are quite tough, and if you self-study 3-4 hrs, it will be easy for you, but mathematics engineering requires more than 3-4 hrs, as you know. Exam invigilators are strict as in an NIT. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and makes students fit for industry. The teachers are highly qualified. The director of NIT Mizoram was used to being the HOD in IIT Madras.

The college runs on temporary campus but still has good placement and teaching facilities.

Placements: I am in my first year but recently one of our seniors from the CSE department got a PPO of 44 LPA from Microsoft. This motivated us to study more and get a package like that . Average package last year was 10 lpa . Companies like TCS , Alstrom, Mahindra , Adobe , Capgemini, etc. came last year .

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good with smartboards; wifi is also present on the floors . A library is present from which we can issue books and study free of charge ( also, resources are there in our library) . The first-year hostel is average, with rooms well and good and 4-5 wifi are there on each floor . The seniors hostel is very nice .

Faculty: The teaching quality here is top notch, with highly qualified professors who have their strong expertise in their subject and teach us by taking practical examples; they also motivate us so that we can get good placement. The course curriculum is relevant and in the course additional subjects like communicative English , data analysis and visualisation are also there . We had our mid - semester exams recently and it is not possible for a person to study one night before and pass as the level of questions was good.

Other: Last month we had Technox 2024, which was the technical fest. It had multiple events like eSports, posters, debates, etc.

NIT Mizoram is a very good institute and the faculty is also good.

Placements: Last year, 100 percent placement in mechanical engineering. The average package is 7 lakh and the minimum package is 4 lakh. Microsoft, Wipro, Mahindra, IBM, etc. are the top recruiters. 60 percent of students got internships in mechanical engineering like Microsoft, Wipro, and Deloitte. Overall placement of the institute in last year was nearly 87 percent.

Infrastructure: The faculty is too good and well educated. All of the faculty are PhD holders and of very helping nature. Exam levels are too good. There is no permanent campus but hostels are good. Wi-fi network is bad, labs are good, classrooms are good, and the library is good, but there is a shortage of books.

Faculty: Teachers are very helping, and all the teachers are at least PhD qualified. And their teaching style is so good. Semester exams are average. And pass percentage is 80%. But there is no campus life, but the weather is too good, charming and attractive.

Review of NIT Mizoram college.

Placements: In my course, who is taking part in placement, they are placed 100%; it is not very good for placement and the average package of my branch is 8 LPA and the highest is 14 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS , MAHINDRA MOTORES, L&T, ADODE, DELOITTE, etc. The faculty is average.

Infrastructure: For first-year students, the hostel is not much good, the food is also not much good and the Wi-Fi is average. In my college, sports and games facilities are not available and the college and hostel are about 4 km far from each other and the college is divided into different blocks and they are also far from each other.

Faculty: Teachers are average, class is average, teaching quality is average and semester exams are too difficult and from this year relative marking is doing a pass percentage of about 70%, making students industry-ready. Extracurriculars are not good in this college.

Other: I chose this college because this is a NIT college.

Overall good to consider for low percentile in jee main.

Placements: About 80 percent students were placed. Highest package being 14.5 lakhs and average was 10 LPA. Top companies were Adobe, Tcs, Mahindra, Larsen and Tubro etc. Some students got internships at Amazon, Bis ,and IIT's. There is mou with bis and IIT madras.

Infrastructure: Facilities includes hostel, mess and library. There are blocks assigned to each department and there is wifi available in hostel as well as academic blocks. Food quality is adjustable and medical facilities are also available. There are some facilities for indoor games as well along with badminton, cricket and futsal as outdoor games.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and interactive. They are well qualified and teach well. There are a lot of opportunities in training and placement department if you have skills. The exams conducted are of moderate level. Almost 90 percent of students pass. Overall it is good.
