Yes,  JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIT Sikkim BTech programme are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. NIT Sikkim offers BTech programmes with a duration for four years. BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is offered in  specialisations namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes twelve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.

The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is INR 5 lakh, Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1.00 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between Rs.1.00 to 5.00 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.

For 2023, cut off was 34083 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for 2023 is higher compare to the previous two years. in 2021 it was 30095 and in 2022 it was 25908.

No, BTech programme isn't free at NIT Sikkim. Candidates seeking to get admission are required to pay the tuition fee which ranges between INR 5 Lacs - 5.3 lakh, the fees excludes of Eamination Fee of Semester Registration Fee,  Library Fee,  Laboratory Fee, Internet Fee, etc. However NIT Sikkim does have scholarship schemes for students. The opening and closing ranks for NIT Sikkim BTech 2025 vary according to categories, rounds, gender and specialisations. For the SC AI category BTech CSE 2025 opening rank was 3898, and the closing rank was 4088,  according to JoSSA counselling 6th round.  According to JoSSA last round for the All India category, the closing and opening ranks for this course were 5728 for female SC candidates. B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is the most sought-after course specialisation among candidates, admission for which is based on the JEE Main 2025 ranks, followed by the JoSSA counselling process and, if required by the CSAB counselling process for allocation of any vacant seats after JoSSA is over.

NIT Sikkim Round 1 Seat Allotment Result has been released. As per the NIT Sikkim BTech cutoff 2024, the Round 1 closing rank for CSE was 2641 for SC and 1416 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
