NIT Uttarakhand Admission 2025: Courses, Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility, Application & Ranking

NIT Uttarakhand JEE Main cutoff 2025 was concluded with the release of the final round of cutoffs for various All India and Home State quota categories. The cutoff was released for admission to the BTech course specialisations. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 16717 to 71457. According to the last round, the hardest specialisation was BTech CSE. Students can refer to the table below to know the first and last round cutoff for various BTech specialisations.

Yes, NIT Uttarakhand offers a comprehensive M.Tech programme. It is a PG level course offered in full-time mode. The duration of this programme is two years. Students enrolled in it get to choose from various specialisations including, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and more.  Admission to these courses is made based GATE socres.

To get into NIT Uttarakhand, candidate must have attain the rank as per the cutoff list released. As per the round 4 of the cutoff list,   the cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 16830 and 48190. Therefore, to get admission to NIT Uttarakhand, candidate must have a rank of atleast 48190.

Candidates willing to get admitted to M.Tech courses at NIT Uttarakhand must fulfill the basic requirements. Failure to fulfill can lead to rejection during the application stage. Tabulated below is the eligibility criteria:

NIT Uttarakhand JEE Main cutoff 2025 was published for admission to the All India and Home State quota categories for various BTech specialisations. 

For the OBC AI quota, the overall cutoff ranged from 5792 to 74812. According to the last round, the most competitive BTech branch turned out to be BTech CSE.

Yes, the candidates belonging to the underpriviliged section and seeking admission to NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech course are offered relaxation in the eligibility criteria. For general category students, the minimum eligibility requirement is 60% or 6.5 CGPA for UG. For students belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category, the institute offers a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria. Thus, candidates who belong to the above categories are eligible if they have secured atleast 55% marks in aggregate in UG.

 

Candidates who are willing to take admission to non- sponsored NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech seat must apply and appear for the GATE exam. The list below details the application process

1. Open the GATE 2025 registration portal.
2.  Register as a new candidate. Generate login credentials.
3. Fill out the application form and pay the application fee, INR 1,800 for general and INR 900 for female/Sc/ST/PWD. 

To get a M.Tech seat at NIT Uttarakhand, students must follow the below-mentioned steps:

1. Check the eligibility criteria. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria are considered for the selection process.

2. If eligible, apply for the GATE exam.

3. After the exam results, participate in the CCMT counselling process.

4. If allocated a seat, report to the institute for verification of documents.

5. Pay the admission fee to secure the seat.

In order to get admission to NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech course, students are required to take GATE. After GATE exam, they must appear for the CCMT counselling. It is a centralised counselling process conducted to allocate M.Tech seats. The regsitration fee for INR 3,500 for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC and INR 3,000 for SC/ST/PwD. 

For admission to self supporting seats, the institute conducts an in house interview prcoess. To be considered for this process, students must fill out the institute level application form. Lastly, all students who are offered admissions must complete the document verification and fee payment process.

IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. NIT Uttarakhand MSc cutoff 2025 was released up to 5 rounds across different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. 3736 was the last round cutoff rank in 2025 for the General category, wherein MSc Chemistry was the most popular at a cutoff rank of 1834 in the last round. GATE CCMT R1 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. Candidates seeking admission to the NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech course must secure a rank between 353 and 438 under the first cutoff list for the General category students.
