Absolutely dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Approx. 60 to 70 percent of students got placed last year in the civil engineering branch and this ratio is the same as for previous years also. 6 to 10 lakh per annum is the range of the package that is offered every year. Top recruiting companies are TCS and L&T. There is a very low percentage of getting an internship in civil engineering.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in each hostel and labs are small but overall well structured. The same is true for the classroom and there is no good library. The quality of hostels is better, but food quality can be changed by some efforts. No canteen is there. Medical facility is average. Sports and games are very few.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and perfect in their skills or subjects, so overall it is good. Semester exams are good enough. Passing percentage is 90 percent. Overall, there is a good pattern of exams.

My college review in my words.
Placements: Our college placement statistics show that on average, about 70 percent of students were placed every year, which was between 8 and 40 LPA. Companies like TCS, L&T, TATA, and many more top recruiters come every year. Our placement cell also gave internship opportunities to many companies.
Infrastructure: Our college facilities and infrastructure are quite limited as compared to any other NIT because our campus is temporary; our permanent campus is under construction, but all the basic facilities are provided by the college, like medical, canteen, sports, hostel, and so on.
Faculty: Our college faculty were too good; they are too cooperative with the students; they help their students a lot; they also motivate and try to teach students to grow in their lives. Every faculty member is like our parents in the college; they are available to guide us.
Other: I chose this course via Jossa counselling by preference, but now I like it because in it we are able to solve real-life problems.

GATE Specials NIT Uttarakhand.
Placements: NIT Uttarakhand has 70–80% students with a placement record. The lowest 3-4 LPA, Medium 7-10 LPA, Highest 25–30 LPA. LNT Company and Nokia, Tata, Wipro, Micromax, in my branch Civil Engineering. Many students are going on internships with 70 percent.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with good quality tables, wardrobes, windows, chairs, but less maintenance. Good Wi-Fi connectivity, good lab infrastructure, and good classroom conditions. Bad quality food in college. Sometimes, a good and clean environment, good mess, and sports activities.
Faculty: There is a good teaching structure and well-qualified teachers who are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good and skilled. This course of civil engineering is necessary for future development, as there is a need for well-designed industry and innovative types of infrastructure with highly skilled work for a better outcome.
Other: I chose the civil engineering branch because it offers opportunities in both private and government sectors. It is the oldest branch. There is good knowledge usage in this branch.

This college is the best.
Placements: It is one of the most developing branches in our college. The average salary package offered ranges from 15 LPA to 30 LPA. Many programs are organised in our college for increasing salary package. Mostly government-funded companies visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The facilities are very good in our college. Wi-Fi is available on our campus, and the speed ranges from 10 to 142 Mbps. Classrooms are very good. It also provides a decent library.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, and all of them are young. The course curriculum is very good to make us ready for the industry.

Faculty members are very good. The campus needs to be improved, and placements are also not good.
Placements: Placements of our college are not good because of its location, which is in Srinagar, Garhwal, Uttarakhand, which is a hilly area. So any company don't want to come here. Very fewer students from our college get campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is good. The course infrastructure has been taken for us with consideration of higher education or exam. The infrastructure of our college hostel is poor, and there are no sufficient rooms available for students. In each room, two or three students live together.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are better than other colleges. They are very helpful to students and well-qualified. They always try to give their best for students so that no students have any kind of doubt.
Other: I wish to see improvement on our college campus.

NIT Uttarakhand - pros and cons of being a student of this college.
Placements: I don't have much knowledge but not many were placed from our branch in our college. A handful of students went for internships from our branch although they didn't work in core civil engineering. One or two company is coming to offer internship to us as till now, and statistics can be changed anytime regarding the issue of recruiters coming to recruit, which generally decreases till the end of year.
Infrastructure: At our satellite campus in mnit Jaipur no Wi-Fi is provided in our hostel and no facility of LAN is available. There is Wi-Fi only in canteen and computer centre where there is a maximum limit of students that can be accommodated. We have been provided with a newly built hostel and some work was still meant to be completed over there thus the hostel was not ready for accommodation but we had no choice.
Faculty: Majority of our teachers lack teaching skills and fails to explain content in an efficient way. All our faculty members at satellite campus are trainee teachers and the teachers at parent campus are all assistant professors. They might have some well qualified background but that is not generally reflected in their teaching methodology.
Other: I was interested in civil and structural engineering. Always keen to design new buildings and structures. Better faculty members is currently the most important thing I would like to improve. Connectivity at satellite campus, Jaipur was much better than our parent campus at Srinagar, garhwal. An annual techno-cultural fest named Cliffesto is also organized by the students of our college.

Life of a civil engineer at NIT Uttarakhand.
Placements: I am a third year student and although there is not much placement record from our branch we have seen a slight increase in the companies that are promising to offer internship. Our main recruiter is L&T that offers around 5-6 Lacs CTC. Last year we did not see much placements or internship from our branch, most of them was from computer Science branch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not provided in hostel right now at satellite campus in mnit, but we have been provided with Wi-Fi in lab and canteen. We are living in ganga hostel which is new although and is quite well built. But there is no LAN or Wi-Fi provided to us. Our parent campus is well-equipped with Wi-Fi everywhere.
Faculty: Teachers of our department are quite strict and provides lots of assignments but some of them are well educated. There is no professor in our department of civil engineering. The course curriculum has not been updated although it provides us with relevant information so that we can atleast attain some industrial training or apply for internships at industry.
Other: I had some interest in civil engineering and this was also the course I was being offered as per my JEE rank. I wished there was some more information that would help us gain industrial experience in the field work.

Infrastructure and placements are not good. Teachers are quite good.
Placements: About 20 % of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Companies like Larsen & Tubro, Bridge and Roof construction company visited our campus for placements. Role of vice president of the college, general secretary of the branch was offered to students. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA. There are no internships provided here.
Infrastructure: Hostels are very compact. The temporary campus is made with precast fibre pannels. Wi-Fi facility has very good speed. The library is very small, and there is a newspaper facility. Hostel mess is worse, and food quality is very poor. There is a small canteen. There is no proper medical and sports facility.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were quite good. A few of them are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality a few teachers is excellent. Their teaching style or technique was very innovative. Few faculty members were very bad, which is same almost in every college. The course curriculum is relevant, and it depends on students.
Other: The course has a good scope. There are good labs. The college fest known as Cellifesto is organised here.
