As per resources and information availaible, the initial entrance exam which is accepted by PGIMER Chandigarh for admission is INI CET. There may be a chance that NEET-PG is also conisdered for admission but INI CET is the considered for admission to majority of the courses. Other than this, PGIMER also conducts its own entrance exam for admission to various courses. So basically you have to score a good marks in NEET PG. I repeat NEET PG it isn't NEET (UG) . PGIMER Chandigarh accepts its own entrance exam for admisssion to M.Sc courses. However, admission to other PG courses such as MD/ MS/ M.Ch/ DM at PGIMER Chandigarh is done on the basis of score in INI CET followed by counseling. PGIMER Chandigarh conducts its own entrance exam for admission to other UG, PG, and Doctoral courses. The total seat intake for M.Sc at PGIMER Chandigarh is 25 seats.

Admission to PGIMER's B.Sc Nursing programme is based on the score obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the institute. The eligibility criteria for the B.Sc Nursing programme at PGIMER require the candidate to have passed 10+2 with 50% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology/ Biotechnology from a recognised board. Step 1: In the first step, candidate must submit their applications via college’s official website. PGI Chandigarh only accepts online application. The application portal for BSc courses generally opens around the month of May.

Step 2: PGI Chandigarh conducts its own entrance emanation for admissions to BSc courses. The applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are then required to take the CBT entrance examination.

Step 3: After the examination, the college releases the result. The result stage includes release of individual scorecard as well as rank list produced on basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance exam.

Step 4: After the release of rank list, the college begins with its counselling process. Candidates are required to report to the institute for personal counselling process. Generally, PGI Chandigarh holds 4 rounds of counselling for BSc courses.

Step 5: Next, documents of all the candidates, who get a seat through counselling, are verified.

Step 6: Selected candidates then are required to pay the admission fees in the prescribed time. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of allocated seat.

Step 7: Once the candidates have paid the fees, it is mandatory for them to report to the college according to the prescribed timeline.

As per the NIRF report 2023, out of 72 PG (2-year) graduates 40 were placed during the 2022 drive. Further, 165 out of 200 PG (3-year) students were placed. Earlier, 27 out of 57 PG (2-year) and 148 out of 228 PG (3-year) students were placed in 2021.
