Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: CSE Batch 2024–28 (RNS Institute of Technology). About 75 percent of students are placed. Packages include the highest of 18 LPA, the lowest of 3.5 LPA, and an average of 6.5 LPA. Recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, and Cognizant. Around 60 percent of students received internships at TCS, Infosys, and startups. Roles offered include software engineer, analyst, developer, and QA.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped classrooms with projectors, campus-wide Wi-Fi, modern computer labs, advanced software tools, and a rich central library are available. Hostels are clean and secure, and mess food is decent with canteen access. Medical care, sports grounds, a gym, and indoor games are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, experienced, and supportive, with good subject knowledge and a mix of theory and practical teaching. The curriculum is relevant and aligned with VTU, and includes programming, core CS subjects, labs, projects, and emerging technologies, which help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, with regular study, they are manageable. The pass percentage is around 85–90 percent.

Review of Department of Cyber Security.
Placements: The highest package offered is 45 LPA, secured by a student at a global-based company. The average stood at 8.2 LPA, while the lowest is around 3.5 LPA. Around 80 percent of the students got internships during their third year. Many secured internships at global-level companies.
Infrastructure: The cybersecurity engineering department is well-equipped with modern infrastructure to support both academic and practical learning. All classrooms are smart classrooms, featuring projectors, WI-FI access, etc. The department has multiple labs and library.
Faculty: The faculty in our department are well qualified, approachable, and knowledgeable in their respective domain. Most of them hold M.Tech/ Ph.D. degrees. Several got involved in active research or industry collaboration. They are generally supportive and open to clearing doubts.

RNSIT CY Depth boosts Coding, Cybersecurity & skills with great events.
Placements: In 2025, the CSE department recorded up to 772 job offers, with the highest package reaching 41.6 LPA, while internships peaked at 335 offers. The highest stipend is 1.1 LPA, with top recruiters including Tata Elxsi, Infosys, Cognizant, Emphasis, and more.
Infrastructure: All the facilities in his college, including the Wi-Fi, the library, etc. The canteen facilities, sports games, and other extracurricular activities are also there, which encourage the students to participate in all the sections and can gain skills all around they want.
Faculty: Teachers in this college are helpful and also very qualified and knowledgeable. Many things are taught slowly so that all the students can understand and increase the speed as the class goes on, but they make sure that all the contents are perfectly covered by the students. The semester exams in this college are also done with more strictness and are also doable.
Other: I chose this course accidentally, but after joining this college for the course of CSE CY, I really felt that I have chosen a very good college to achieve my career goal in my life. There are many tech activities like talentina, treasure hunt based on technology, and many concepts are taught by our seniors to reach the best extent of knowledge.

A supportive environment for technical projects and research.
Placements: I'm a part of CSE- cyber security 2027. We are the second batch for cybersecurity so, placements aren't done yet. Nevertheless, there are a lot of Mous signed and we also have the Samsung Innovation Campus which provides some amazing opportunities for future learners.
Infrastructure: Department of Cybersecurity has its very new building now, so the facilities are top-notch. We have great infrastructure like labs, classrooms, and on-campus project areas. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The library is one of the greatest. There are discussion rooms for better engagement.
Faculty: We have very friendly and knowledgeable faculty who are very supportive and helpful. They guide us and mend us to become better persons for our future. I would like to point out one thing: the VTU curriculum is very outdated and nowhere matches with some current trends like cybersecurity. Internal exams and sem ends are easy to tackle with some boost-up preparations, but honesty, and listening well in classes are more than enough for a lot of theory subjects.
Other: I have chosen cybersecurity since it is an emerging course and is very interesting.

Good faculty members, but not great placements. A growing college.
Placements: Around 30 percent of the students are placed in my college. The highest package was around 50 LPA, and the average package is 5–6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Adobe, and CRED. Around 30 percent of the students got internships. Students have placement training in the 2nd and 3rd years.
Infrastructure: The classrooms don't have Wi-Fi, but the labs have an Ethernet connection. The labs are good. The classrooms don't have enough fans, which might be a concern during an extreme summer. Each classroom has projectors. There are sports facilities on the campus, but they are not well maintained. The library is very big and very good, where you can find almost every book you need. The college also has a very nice and big auditorium. The college has one canteen, which provides good food at a reasonable price.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified, and most of the teachers are very friendly and reachable. We have three internals in every semester, and then we have our end-of-semester exams. We have our LABS for each subject every week. The hostel has 3 and 4 sharing rooms.
