About RNS's CSE department.

Faculty: Faculty members have good knowledge, and the teaching quality is absolutely amazing. They make students industry-ready through various workshops being conducted. Students are encouraged in all ways, and they have a separate incubation centre and many clubs which develop and enhance students' interests, including technical and even extracurricular activities. Teachers are supportive and very helpful.

Building my Future at RNSIT: A Civil Engineering.

Faculty: In our civil engineering department, all faculty members are well qualified and experienced, and all of the faculty members specialise in core areas of civil engineering. The course curriculum is developed to meet industry requirements, with all updated software included in the curriculum. In each semester, we have 3 internal exams as per the VTU requirement.

Satisfied because of supportive teaching staff, knowledgeable field visits, reasonable fees.

Faculty: The teachers here are very good and very helpful. They have many years of teaching experience in this institution. The teachers are really supportive, funny, lively, and a bit strict; it is obvious. Their teaching skills are pretty good, and their way of explaining things gives us a good understanding of the subject and the topic. In short, perfect teachers (a few exceptions are always there).

A good college for all the type of students who wants to pursue an engineering.

Faculty: The faculty is very good at teaching. They are skilled, and professors and some of them even have a PhD in their own specific subjects. Tests will be taken monthly for 3 months, and at the semester end, there will be semester exams and also some lab exams. Also, there will be some activity according to their courses.

RNSIT is a good college if students want to join the B.Tech course.

Faculty: All teachers are very good at teaching. They are calm and encourage doubts if asked. They teach in a good way. Teachers give a good amount of time to submit assignments. They also guide us when needed and help in any difficult situations as well. They are kind.

A nice place to get to know how real world works.

Faculty: Every teacher is well qualified in my branch of ECE and gives support and guidelines in studies and projects as well. The teaching quality is good but there may be a 1 out of 10 chance of a not-so-good teacher. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready maybe 60 percent. The difficulty level in semester exams can range from mid to difficult. The pass percentage is 99 percent.

RNSIT: Good placements, affordable fees, and balanced college life.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, knowledgeable, and mostly supportive. They are approachable and help with academics and projects. Teaching quality is decent though some rely more on theory-based methods. The curriculum follows VTU guidelines and provides a strong foundation.

Ambitious environmental engineering college.

Faculty: Excellent faculty and assistants to guide us in every field like study, extracurricular activities, sports, and more. The competitive environment built the way and reason to study. The end-semester exam papers are of medium level difficulty as they teach us to handle the exam.

It is a good college and helpful.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They have good knowledge. They teach well. The interaction between teachers and students is too good. The teaching quality is too good. The course curriculum is relevant. Compared to other college students, our college students are too good.

Average engineering life of a Bangalore college student.

Faculty: The faculty is very good. They provide notes and actively teach the content. Doubts and ideas are well entertained. There are help desk members available to help you with different problems too. They take feedback on the course and faculty. Practical skills are prioritized. The exams are quite easy as it is autonomous.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified, experienced, and supportive, with good subject knowledge and a mix of theory and practical teaching. The curriculum is relevant and aligned with VTU, and includes programming, core CS subjects, labs, projects, and emerging technologies, which help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, with regular study, they are manageable. The pass percentage is around 85–90 percent.

It has decent academics with average placements and a good campus environment.

Faculty: Faculty members at RNSIT Bengaluru are, in most cases, well-educated, seasoned, and experts in their respective fields of study. Generally, staff members are helpful and friendly, especially when internal assessments are going on and during doubt and clearing sessions. However, the quality of teaching may differ from one faculty to another. The program is based on the VTU syllabus and aims to equip students with a sound theoretical base. Still, learners have to take the initiative for self-study...

RNSIT unfiltered: Faculty, facilities, and finals.

Faculty: The 2023 batch is the last batch to be affiliated under VTU. After 2023 batch, i.e., our juniors are free from VTU affiliation and study under an autonomous authority or syllabus. Faculty for my domain, i.e., EEE, are knowledgeable and have an understanding mentality rather than being ignorant. They are skilled and exceptional in their field and not only teach the syllabus but also arrange workshops, placement training, and project assistance. There are three internals, where the best 2 are cons...

Positive experience at RNSIT, even though there is a huge scope for improvement.

Faculty: Most teachers are very helpful if you approach them. They encourage and guide you to make projects, write research papers, and also guide you academically. Teaching quality is average because it really depends upon the teacher you get. The college is really trying to introduce sessions from different industry experts, certification courses, and training, which help a lot in becoming industry-ready. The exams are not extremely difficult, and with just a little effort, you can easily maintain a 9+...

Students no need to panic. They get to write improvements to which they can study well again and perform well.

But sometimes in case when improvment tests are not provided they tell you in before hand. So you need to study well. It all depends on the scenario.

If a student misses an internal exam at RNS Institute of Technology, the department may conduct a re-test if there is a valid reason and proper permission is taken. Otherwise, the internal marks may be calculated based on the remaining tests or the student may receive zero for that particular exam.
